We’re Looking For An: Audio Engineer who will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day studio operations at our Headquarters office and work directly with creative teams to facilitate the production of a variety of Live, VOD, and other video content. The Audio Engineer will partner with cross-functional departments to support and elevate the production level and audio quality and oversee the recording and editing of audio while maintaining high standards to drive company success.

Location: Woodland Hills, CA

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Edit, mix and master daily content
  • Ensure high quality audio capture on shoots – both in studio and on location
  • Identify any technical issue and/or sound related issues and troubleshoot effectively
  • Setup, record and edit voice over sessions with talent and deliver finished edited tracks to editors
  • Perform repair tasks such as noise reduction
  • Assist other facets of production – set prep, teleprompter, etc.
  • Work closely with Editorial to optimize audio quality and streamline workflows
  • Maintain and organize audio equipment and voice booth
  • Stay relevant on current production technologies to offer information on how to always meet department goals
  • Regularly review overall productivity through KPIs and performance goals

Preferred Qualifications (Note: These are preferred and not required. We strongly encourage you to apply even if you don’t tick ALL of these boxes.):

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required
  • 2-3 years’ experience of on-set audio recording
  • Capable of setting and maintaining audio and engineering equipment
  • Mixing and Recording proficiency using Pro Tools
  • Familiarity with mixing and mastering plugin suites, such as iZotope
  • Knowledge in Adobe Premiere, Google Suite, Slack, Word and Excel
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Well organized, detail oriented and good communication skills
  • Ability to influence and build successful working relationships with a diverse set of partners
  • Deadline oriented, ability to multi-task, wear multiple hats and work well under pressure
  • Experience with typical production protocol and etiquette when dealing with talent
