Job Description

Brookfield Properties has an immediate need for an Associate Business Analyst on-site at the Corporate Office in Chicago, IL supporting the IT-Accounting program.

This position requires a candidate who demonstrates the ability to understand Business Process, Business Language and Systems supported by the IT Accounting Program. The ideal candidate will be both technically savvy and business-focused; exhibiting the ability to quickly learn new systems, apply critical thinking skills and logic to new and current technology, guide conversation to fully discover stakeholder needs and support the delivery of value-based solutions.

As a member of a self-organizing Agile team, you will also be responsible for partnering with the Product Owner to help the delivery team build effective solutions that provide exceptional business value. You will be responsible for supporting multiple concurrent high visibility projects that cross several business departments in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:

• Actively participate in all Agile ceremonies such as: daily standup, story grooming sessions, demos, retrospectives and others
• Understand the product and the product backlog, working with team to deliver comprehensive solutions
• Promote the team's self-organization and continuous improvement of Agile execution; adapts to frequent changes within Agile framework and principles
• Collaborate with team to prepare and coordinate test plan and test strategy documents
• Responsible for documenting the business needs as User Stories for new applications or enhancements to an existing application
• Responsible for creation of testing documents and user training materials
• Responsible for conducting quality assurance testing and facilitating user acceptance testing
• Report, track and facilitate resolution of product defects

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Bachelor's Degree desired in related field
• Academic background in business, technology related field or equivalent under-graduate experience
• 1-2 Years of relatable experience in business analysis or accounting
• JDE Experience a plus
• Responsible, dependable, quick learner
• Demonstrates ability to adapt to new technology
• Strong organizing and planning skills
• Working experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
• Exceptional verbal and written communications skills
• Ability to think strategically and creatively
• Ability to build and maintain trust relationships with business and technology partners
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and peers to accomplish business goals
