Associate, Business Development

Do you want to work with one of the leading global CX agencies in the world?? WONGDOODY is looking for a Business Development Associate to join our NYC team!! As we continue to grow, and grow faster, the demands on the Business Development team are growing too. 

Working closely with our parent company, Infosys, you will specialize in CX/UX/Product Design opportunities including creating RFP's and pitch presentations. 

We are looking for someone who has worked for an agency or consulting firm, speaks UX, UI or CX, understands the pitch and how to win the business the firm works on. You are looking for the next chapter of your career!

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Create capabilities overviews and pitch presentations for Product Design (CX/UX/UI) engagements by leveraging with a mix of:
  • pre-existing content 
  • fresh content created by creative or strategy team members
  • fresher content the Business Development Manager generates as need in response to specific RFP or client ask
• Manage written proposal submissions, leveraging with a mix of exiting and new content
  • building a cohesive story by gathering copy and catching typos to more significant massaging of content from various original authors into a coherent narrative and voice
• Managing the proposal process
  • owning the response master
  • defining internal timelines and deadlines
  • coordinating contributions and feedback
  • consolidating changes for review
• Clean up the layout of a document using existing templates and styles will be required; if you have more significant design skills/aspirations, we encourage that; if you don’t, we can cover the difference
• Support the greater Business Development Team in various housekeeping items around code opening, pipeline maintenance, and paperwork will be part of the job, but you won’t be doing anyone’s expenses or getting anyone coffee
• Extra bonus points for a willingness/desire to take opportunities to the next level by defining the structure, scope, duration, and staffing of projects; but if that's not part of your toolkit yet, you can always lean on team members whenever you need help we also have people who can handle that piece of the puzzle if you don’t

WHAT YOU'VE GOT

• 2-4 years digital/product agency or consulting firm experience account management, project management or business development role
• Excellent written communication and presentation delivery skills; and a desire to do more of it! 
  • you will be writing something every day in this job, ranging from headlines to sales emails to long-form proposal responses
• Finely tuned EQ; ability to quickly assess and determine how best to connect with a variety of people and perspectives 
• Strong editorial and proofreading skills, with the ability to serve as a second pair of eyes on something while respecting the author’s style and intent
• Attention to detail is absolutely critical; the team moves fast, and knowing that this person’s eyes have been on something should give us the confidence to hit send
• Mid-level design abilities appreciated, but not required
• Familiarity with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel, and Apple Keynote, required
• Fluency in modern Product Design (Cx/UX/UI)
  • Knowledge across the full spectrum of creative agency services is a plus!
