World Wide Technology currently has an opportunity available for an Associate Business Development resource within Global Enterprise Sales. This role is focused on data analysis and market segmentation to inform investment and sales strategies to develop and mature markets. The ability to identify trends and make inferences from diverse data sets to recommend and advise sales executives is a critical skillset. This Associate must have the ability to read financial statements and incorporate that information into market development initiatives. The ideal candidate thrives in an ever-changing environment and is willing to learn and contribute ideas daily.

We are looking for self-motivated and driven candidates with strong skills in industry and market research, data analysis, solution development, financial analysis, project management, business processes design, and a solid understanding of connecting technology solutions to the business and financial impacts they deliver for our customers.

The role supports Global Enterprise Sales regarding presentation development, proposal response, pricing, service scoping, financial analysis, process analysis, and contract review / negotiation.In addition to supporting specific deals with the sales organization, Business Development members are instrumental in the generation and implementation of new sales, technology and service offerings.

Qualified candidates will join a team of business development consultants to assist in driving complex and strategic opportunities in collaboration with sales, building financial impact analyses, and enabling and promoting the business relevance of WWT solutions.

The WWT business development team plays an instrumental role in driving overall profitability and continued growth of the organization.

Responsibilities:
  • Providing analysis and counsel to Global Enterprise Sales leaders who are responsible for implementing the sales organizations objectives and goals
  • Partnerwith and support Sales Leaders, Sales Management, Business Development and Marketing through research, data collection, analysis and building of insights, as well as preparing periodic reports on key metrics
  • Leverage strong data analytical skills with experience in reporting and interpretation through compiling large amounts of data into an understandable format to support problem solving
  • Research and evaluate areas of opportunity for profitable growth for specific market segments
  • Perform data analysis across a range of market, industry and sales areas (program, company, trending, spend, other as needed)
  • Analyze customer financial statements to incorporate into sales strategies
  • Assess market trends, pricing, costs, competitor strategies and market suppliers
  • Develop an understanding of competitive market positioning
  • Assist sales teams in opportunity identification, qualification, and strategy
  • Possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including ability to succinctly synthesize data, develop recommendations, document insights, and present to senior leaders
  • Develop business cases and pro formas internal and external to inform investment decisions
  • Provide customer oral presentations of solutions, proposals, and business cases
  • Work with sales teams to support Account Planning initiatives
  • Translate solutions to the business and financial impacts they drive
  • Build and present financial models for alternative solution consumption methods comparing the pros and cons of each including but not limited to traditional capital spending, operating leases, and utility or as a service structures
  • Generate and follow through on innovative business development ideas
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline. (Industry and/or Academic experience is acceptable in lieu of degree)
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • 3-5 years of professional and/or academic experience working in sales, business development, sales operations, business analysis, data analysis or related discipline
  • Experience with multiple data analysis tools including Tableau and MS Excel
  • Investigative ability, critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills are required
  • Strong understanding of financial statements
  • Ability to work under uncertainty and incomplete data sets
  • Ability to extract relevant financial information from various sources and provide insights based on that information
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong presentation capabilities

  • Being a team-oriented individual with outstanding written and verbal communication skills and work ethic.


This role may require on-location work with WWT customers. Some customers may require WWT employees and contractors coming on-site to bevaccinated against COVID-19 and/or to receive frequent negative COVID-19 testing
