Associate, Business Operations

Overview

Ten Thousand is seeking a driven, analytical, and hungry Business Operations Associate to join our Strategy team. Reporting to our Director of Strategy and Business Development, you will fuel our continued growth by ensuring teammates have visibility into all key business drivers, delivering actionable insights to cross-functional stakeholders throughout the organization, and supporting efforts to determine where Ten Thousand plays and how we win. We’ll rely on you to use your analytical and problem-solving acumen to answer key questions about what’s happening in our business, contextualize and share those insights to inform business decisions, help support cross-functional process improvements, and create and continually optimize reporting that makes our teams more effective and efficient. 

Roles and Responsibilities

• Design, build, and continually optimize reporting systems and tools that enable company leaders to better understand real-time KPIs, trends, and opportunities
• Turn raw data into actionable insights, presenting key drivers to teammates across the organization to ensure all teammates understand business health
• Support teammates with ad-hoc analyses to help them ensure that they’re making effective and efficient decisions
• Build and scale our cross-functional processes and tools to drive rapid scaling while continuously improving efficiency and speed of execution, including our Sales and Operating Plan process
• Support high-impact strategic planning initiatives, working with our Leadership Team to help understand and scope opportunities 
• Optimize and scale modeling processes, ensuring that we set goals, forecast initiative impacts, collect in-flight data, and synthesize findings 

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience with a background in management consulting, investment banking, high-growth startups, or related fields. Exposure to eCommerce or retail preferred.
• Top academic credentials. Major in STEM, finance, economics, or similarly quantitative and analytical disciplines preferred.
• Excellent analytical skills, with ability to clearly present analysis, insights, and recommendations.
• Experience with, exposure to, or strong desire to learn SQL, Tableau, and/or R to help level up our data infrastructure
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets 
• Excited to learn new skills. Passionate about analyzing data and building tools to solve business problems.
• Strong sense of ownership and determination to get things done.
• Humility and eagerness to learn and grow
• MUST be able to work from our NYC HQ
