Associate Commissions Analyst
Job Description

As a member of the accounting team, you will be responsible for supporting the accurate and efficient administration of the commission program for the company. Your responsibilities will include calculating, reporting, and processing timely payouts of commissions and other incentive compensation in accordance with plan documents and company governance requirements. Additionally, you will support development of reporting and analytics to forecast future payments, determine accruals, and identify trends in compensation based on our compensation philosophy.
You will serve as a key point of contact to commission eligible employees, business leadership teams and Human Resources Business Partners in the execution of incentive compensation programs and will develop innovative solutions in program design, workflow processes and reporting. In this role, you must be accuracy-driven, detail-oriented, and passionate about data.
Essential Functions
• Support calculation of commission programs in accordance with established practices, ensuring employees receive fair and appropriate compensation for their position
• Contribute to reporting and analytics for commission and associated metrics including measuring metric effectiveness
• Review compensation changes in individual wages and salaries for accuracy in the commission calculations
• Assist with the coordination of variable pay programs including calculation of commissions and bonus payouts.
• Calculate monthly and quarterly accruals for the various commission plan
• Deploy and support the enhancement of effective communications to plan participants on payout targets and results and respond to inquiries as needed
• Deliver exceptional level of service to internal and external stakeholders, maintaining sensitive and confidential data with the highest degree of discretion
• Assists with improving the commission processes, focusing on improving efficiency, reducing exceptions, and automating processes
• Provide support to the global commissions process and various projects by working cross-functionally with Sales leadership, Sales Operations, Finance, People Operations, Legal and Payroll
• Collaborate and offer insights to the Total Rewards team on plan design, modeling and policy matters related to sales commission plans
• Develop knowledge of the sales compensation system to align commission plan documents and system capabilities
• Participate in Sales Incentive system development and testing, issue resolution, enhancements, and annual sales commission plan processes
Qualifications
Required:
• Bachelor's degree, with 0-2 years of relevant experience or combination of equivalent education and experience
• Microsoft Excel experience and ability to manipulate spreadsheets
• Skilled at written and verbal communication, with ability to engage at all levels of the organization
• Demonstrated quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills; must be comfortable with data analysis
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness
Desired:
• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or other relevant field of study
• Financial analysis experience
• Advanced Excel, financial modeling and data manipulation skills
• Strong aptitude for technical systems and learning new software tools
• Experience with Salesforce.com, Workday and/or Spiff
