Reporting to the Manager, Community, the Associate, Community will take a central role in implementing efficient and effective systems and operations to ensure the Community department and broader Programs team run smoothly. The Associate will also contribute to strategic planning and process improvements, playing a key role in shaping the Community experience for our Fellows.
What You’ll Do
As the Associate, Community, you will lead key workstreams that include:
Enhancing Community Department Operations
- Schedule internal and external Community meetings and events, including New Fellow Experience sessions, Fellow Forums, Finalist Community Days, cross-teams event planning meetings, and Community team huddles.
- Support virtual and in-person Community-specific meetings and events, including booking and setting up meeting room space/Zoom, taking meeting notes and sharing action items, prepping supplies for meeting attendees, keeping time, following up on post meeting tasks and asks, etc.
- Oversee the accuracy and integrity of Fellow and external partner data in Salesforce and internal databases, including Fellow alumni participation in Community programming (e.g., speaking engagements, planning or advisory groups, etc.) and responding to Fellow requests to update personal and contact information.
- Assist in the design and implementation of survey tools to collect qualitative and quantitative feedback from key internal and external stakeholders on the quality of Community programs delivered.
- Administer and monitor payment requests and contracts, including Fellow payments, staff and contractor reimbursements, and contractor agreements.
- Manage and respond to Community inboxes and forward requests to the appropriate staff member to respond, and following up to ensure timely resolution.
- Develop, maintain, and continually improve an organized departmental library of files, documents, and processes with uniform file-naming conventions. Drive the creation of knowledge-sharing best practices across the department.
Supporting the Programs Team & Broader Organization
- Coordinate and lead virtual and in-person Programs team meetings and events, including booking and setting up meeting room space, taking meeting notes and sharing action items, prepping supplies for meeting attendees, keeping time, etc.
- Streamline operations across the Programs team, as needed / directed, including materials and meeting prep for pipeline-building events, capital-related selections and disbursement processes, and capacity-building programming
- Assist in the screening, decision-making, and due diligence review processes of Fellowship applications and follow-on investment decisions
- Represent Echoing Green at national and international events (likely 1-3 times annually). Engage with Fellows, partners, and stakeholders, gathering insights and fostering relationships that contribute to the organization’s mission

Base Salary: $60,000/year

This position will be considered a nonexempt position for purposes of federal wage and hour law, which means that the employee will be eligible for overtime pay for hours worked in excess of 40 in a given work week. Â This position will also require the employee to work from our office in New York City 2 days/a week and remotely 3 days/a week.
