Associate Core Tech Engineer
Job Description
ProbablyMonsters is looking for a creative, technical, and collaborative Associate Core Tech Engineer. You will join a team focusing on action game play, world building, level design, AI, and character design during the early phases of game development.
We are seeking a Associate Core Tech Engineer who has some early experience with game technologies. Being able to implement new engine, build, automation, and tool features at the direction of an engineering manager. This is a rare opportunity where you get to help define an ambitious new game and make long lasting and impactful technical choices.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Design and implement features for the engine, build, infrastructure, tools, automation, and other systems.
- Work with an engineering manager to help guide requirements gathering
- Mange sprint tasks and work with manager and production to identify and prioritize milestones goals breaking down work into tasks.
- Work with team to develop roadmap for client / server features for production
- Proactively seek feedback on feature work to ensure it meets the objectives of the project.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong understanding and experience with C/C++.
- Excellent understanding of Computer Science principals
- Experience with an area of game technologies from course work, hobby projects, or professional work.
- Strong 3D math knowledge.
- Ability to work with a team of diverse disciplines.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Experience working within Unreal 4 / Unreal 5.
- Experience working on a game in a professional environment.

Compensation:
- This is a full-time, benefits-eligible, exempt (salaried) position.
- The full salary range for this position is $81,500 - $118,200 per year. The upper third of the salary range is typically reserved for existing employees who demonstrate strong performance over time. When an offer is made, many factors are considered, such as your unique experience and skills, where you live, where the work will be performed, what similar jobs pay, internal equity, and what you're looking for.
- In addition to base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for additional incentives, such as a sign-on bonus and short- and long-term incentives. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
