Job Description

Reports to: Director of Legal Affairs

Location: Remote

Compensation Range: $125,000 to $150,000 base plus bonus and equity

What We Do:

Founded in 2015 by former NSA cyber operators, Huntress was built on a simple premise: to force hackers to earn every inch of their access.

Today’s cyber-attacks aren’t limited to large organizations with the security tools that can ward off threats. Hackers don't discriminate and will find a way to penetrate any vulnerability in any size business.

Huntress enables IT providers and resellers to stop hidden threats that sneak past preventive security tools.

Through a combination of expert human threat hunters, a comprehensive platform, and a desire to make the world a safer place, we’re working to deliver cybersecurity to the 99%—those small to midsize businesses that make up the backbone of our economy.

Join the hunt and help us stop hackers in their tracks!

What You’ll Do:

We are incredibly excited to grow our legal team with the addition of our first associate attorney. Huntress is looking for a highly motivated lawyer to assist our business teams across a variety of practice areas, including technology transactions, data privacy, and employment. • Support the human resources department and become internal resource for employment law issues (working with outside counsel as needed)
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, customer support, marketing, product, engineering, finance, and other departments at all levels throughout the organization
  • Assist with special projects including intellectual property, data privacy, insurance, regulatory and other strategic matters

What You Bring To The Team:

  • J.D. degree (or foreign equivalent) from a recognized university and active membership in at least one recognized U.S. state bar
  • 3+ years of relevant experience gained in private practice with a top firm or in-house
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, along with the ability to communicate effectively with others at all levels of the organization
  • Strong negotiating skills with both legal and financial/commercial issues
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships within the organization’s legal department and across all businesses
  • Expertise in technology transactions and licensing contracts
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
  • Working knowledge of GDPR and CCPA and privacy laws – preferable
  • General understanding of employment law and labor relations
  • Understanding and experience with compliance and risk management

What We Offer:

  • 100% remote work environment - since our founding in 2015
  • Generous paid time off policy including vacation, sick time, and paid holidays
  • 12 weeks paid parental leave
  • Highly competitive and comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits plans
  • 401(k) with 5% contribution regardless of employee contribution

  • One-time $500 stipend to build/upgrade home office
  • Annual allowance for education and professional development assistance
  • $75 USD/month digital reimbursement
