In this role, you will be a key contributor to the estimation and planning of complex technology infrastructure projects, focusing on low-voltage, IT, telecommunications, and building management systems. You will develop accurate, competitive cost estimates while collaborating with cross-functional teams, including sales, engineering, and project management, to ensure seamless project execution. The position requires a strong technical understanding of infrastructure systems, attention to detail, and the ability to analyze drawings, specifications, and site conditions. With up to 40% travel for site surveys, you will gain exposure to diverse projects and have a direct impact on bidding strategies and project outcomes. Accountabilities:
Develop detailed and accurate cost estimates based on RFP requirements, construction drawings, and site survey dataInterpret and analyze architectural, MEP, and technology plans for low-voltage, telecom, wireless, IT infrastructure, and building management systems (Client/EPMS)Perform quantity take-offs and provide labor and material pricing for structured cabling, network devices, control systems, and related technologiesCollaborate with sales, engineering, project management, and vendors to ensure bids are accurate, competitive, and aligned with client requirementsEvaluate subcontractor and vendor proposals for compliance, pricing, and technical alignmentParticipate in pre-bid meetings, site walks, and post-bid clarifications as neededMaintain and update unit cost databases, labor productivity factors, and vendor pricing informationSupport project handoff by providing precise scope documentation to project management teams for awarded workConduct ongoing security awareness training, identify potential security risks, and contribute to remediation effortsPerform other duties as assigned to support project and organizational goalsRequirements
Minimum of 5 years of experience in telecom, wireless, or technology infrastructure estimating rolesStrong knowledge of low-voltage systems, wireless network design, IT infrastructure, and building management systems (Client/EPMS)Proficiency in interpreting architectural, MEP, and technology drawingsFamiliarity with CSI divisions related to telecom, security, and control systemsHands-on experience with estimating and design tools such as Bluebeam, Accubid, PlanSwift, and ExcelTechnical certifications such as RCDD, PMP, or BICSI are highly desirableStrong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with a high level of attention to detailExperience with cost modeling, value engineering, and pre-sales engineering or design/build contractingAbility to travel up to 40% for site surveysCollaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across multiple teams and stakeholdersBenefits
