Position Title: Associate, Data Operations

Salary: $90,000 -$110,000 per year

Summary of Duties: Create and maintain databases for risk analytics packages and investment portfolios of global financial clients, to develop core analytical capabilities. Ensure the accuracy of large analytical, financial data sets, automate processes with scripts and macros, and efficiently query information from a vast database. Analyze and implement process improvements to existing software through automation using Java and SQL to ensure data privacy and security of clients. Create, maintain, and verify stock market performance summary reports of client's investment portfolios. Perform functional, load and user acceptance testing of risk and portfolio management system, Aladdin, by retrieving and modifying data for analysis of the system capabilities. Create and maintain projects in JIRA, analyze and create project workflow diagrams and respond to client queries and defect management. Perform quality checking on Green Package analytics and be accountable of timely delivery of reports to clients. Engage with end-users of the Green Package product from all levels within the company from Portfolio and Risk Managers to Operations teams and with external Clients to determine business and performance requirements. Follow global markets to understand how macro-economic factors can affect the Green Package analytics and leverage this knowledge to confirm or analyze any large impacts to client portfolios, risk metrics and investment decisions. Participate in cross functional projects by engaging with other internal teams to think creatively and deliver innovative financial and long-term technical solutions to our complex client demands. Lead client engagement calls to discuss initiatives related to the Green Package process. Train new hires and Analyst on various topics related to the Green Package processes.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Engineering and Management or a related field, and five (5) years of experience as an Analyst, Data Operations; Analyst; Data Analyst Intern; Project Lead; Software QA Engineer or related role. Employer will also accept a Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Engineering and Management or a related field, and three (3) years of experience as an Analyst, Data Operations; Analyst; Data Analyst Intern; Project Lead; Software QA Engineer or related. If qualifying with a Bachelor's, must also have five (5) years of experience with: writing complex SQL queries to query an extensive database and create custom reports; reading code to perform debugging and enhancing existing scripts utilizing Python and Perl; working with investment risk analytics including duration, value at risk (VaR), and option adjusted spread; coordinating with multiple teams around the globe to develop, test and deploy enhancements; utilizing Microsoft Office and Power BI to manage internal and external communication and client presentations; and reading and writing in Unix to build custom reporting configurations to meet the needs of client stakeholders. If qualifying with a Master's, employer will accept three (3) years of experience with the aforementioned skills.
