Associate Designer, Outerwear

FIGS is looking for an Associate Designer, Outerwear to join our Design team. The ideal candidate is passionate about designing ridiculously comfortable medical apparel for the modern medical professional.  This role is a unique opportunity to be incredibly creative while also getting to collaborate and work with cross-functional team members. Our ideal candidate is creative, passionate about products, highly organized, clear with processes, is a serial problem solver and an all-star communicator. This role reports into the Director of Design.

What you’ll do:

• Collaborate with the Design Director to identify emerging trends and contribute to inspiration research
• Ensure the product creation process is executed within timelines and complete to Brand standards
• Executes designs with a strong CAD and Hand sketching ability
• Execute BOM and Techpack creation and handoff 
• Manage development and execution of color requests, trim packages, and fabric requests 
• Review incoming garments with Designer and PD partners to ensure they are correct
• Attend and participate in weekly fittings and relevant benchmark meetings
• Perform special tasks as needed
• You are tenacious, dedicated and thrive working with ownership, autonomy, and always striving for more
• Communicates development needs to PD team and assists in sourcing and choosing materials for production
• Supports on the development of new trims based on FIGS brand guidelines for every season
• Create and maintain design boards for color, trims and inspiration

Qualifications:

• At least 3-5 years of apparel design experience, with at least 2+ year focusing on Outerwear styles
• Bachelor or Associate degree preferred 
• Deep understanding of garment construction and fit (e.g. finishes, fabrics, hardware, stitches, etc.)
• Proficient in PLM, or other product line managing software (Centric preferred)
• Proficient in Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign. Procreate and Google Apps are a plus. 
• Ability to communicate clearly by building visual tools in adobe suite and rigs. 
• Demonstrated time management and strong communication skills 
• Ability to work in a very fast paced environment and own specific categories
• Ability to multitask and be highly organized

FIGS Compensation and Benefits

Pay Range

• At FIGS, your base salary is one part of your total compensation package. This role's base salary range is between $58,030 and $82,900. Actual base salary is determined based on a number of factors, including but not limited to your relevant skills, qualifications, and years of experience.
