The Writing Team at Rockstar New York is seeking an ambitious Associate Dialogue Designer who is meticulous in their work, passionate about supporting creative teams, and eager to learn. This is a full-time permanent position based out of downtown Manhattan.

• The Dialogue team at Rockstar help to develop and implement the dialogue throughout our massive open worlds.
• We support a global creative team working on ground-breaking interactive narratives. 
• We collaborate across departments to define dialogue requirements for all characters.
• We review dialogue across all aspects of production to ensure it meets the highest standards.
• We take dialogue to new heights to match the ambitions of our games.

• Act as a liaison between the Code and Writing teams to define dialogue contexts and script templates for player and NPC characters.
• Maintain complex databases of dialogue categories and supporting documentation.
• Track thousands of lines of dialogue across development and implementation.
• Assist during the VO recording process where necessary.
• Review and test dialogue after it is implemented in the game.
• Help to push dialogue and AI systems to new levels of exceptional quality.

• Writing, editing, or production experience.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and able to work well under deadlines.
• Someone who thrives in a collaborative team environment.
• Must have an obsessive eye for detail and be able to meticulously check thousands of lines of dialogue.
• Must have strong technical, writing and editorial skills.
• Must be able to work fast while still being ultraprecise and rigorous about quality control.
• Must be a self-starter who is comfortable working both very independently and very collaboratively.
• Must be someone who is passionate, conscientious, calm under pressure, and works with fastidious care.
• Good ability to grasp new programs and systems quickly.
