The Digital Assets Platform team (DAP) at Point72 is responsible for envisioning, building, and implementing a digital asset platform to support our investment and cross-functional teams.  

What you’ll do

• Help develop and maintain a liquidity provider, vendor, and on-chain risk management framework for cryptocurrency investments and transactions
• Monitor market conditions, regulatory developments, and other external factors that may affect the risk profile of cryptocurrency investments
• Conduct risk assessments of cryptocurrency exchanges, OTC desks, DeFi liquidity providers and protocols, including evaluating the security, liquidity, and regulatory compliance of these platforms
• Implement policies and procedures to mitigate identified risks, such as setting limits on investment positions and establishing protocols for monitoring and reporting on risk exposures
• Develop and maintain a vendor risk assessment process, including ongoing monitoring of vendor relationships for potential risk
• Provide guidance and training to team members on risk management best practices in the cryptocurrency space
• Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, and other departments internally to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations

What’s required:

• Strong analytical ability, familiarity with blockchain and DeFi is important
• Deep understanding of cryptocurrency markets and technologies
• Demonstrated ability to think strategically about risk management
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to address a wide range of stakeholders including senior management and external partners
• Bachelor’s degree
• 1-3 years of experience in the digital assets industry

The annual base salary range is $100,000-150,000.   Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
