Associate Director

Tower Research Capital, a high-frequency proprietary trading firm founded in 1998, seeks an Associate Director to join our Finance team in New York.  

Responsibilities

• Managing the accounting close for Tower companies, including analysis/substantiation/analytical procedures of all balance sheet and income statement accounts including valuations
• Assisting in managing the monthly global financial consolidation process and reviewing consolidated financial statements, including partner reports
• Setting and monitoring monthly/quarterly performance targets and assisting in resolving any escalated issues with the team
• Gather and analyze large data sets to facilitate improvement in the methodologies, tools, and techniques to enable the team to scale and optimize operations
• Analyzing internal processes for improvements and collaborate with the financial technology team in developing financial automation 
• Preparing annual financial statements while coordinating with external auditors
• Directly assisting the Controller and Deputy CFO on adhoc/special projects

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field
• At least 5 to 7 years of experience, including managerial experience
• CPA or equivalent certification
• Strong understanding of US GAAP
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (nested functions)
• Knowledge of Oracle Cloud and Tableau software a plus
• Meticulous attention to detail and strong organization skills
• Ability to manage multiple demands and competing deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• The ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Anticipated annual base salary range $120,000 - 150,000, plus eligible for discretionary bonus
