Position Overview
Lilly has created a centralized Customer Experience Hub (CEH) by assembling a group of teams, across the organization, that are passionate about understanding and serving customers, and work together as Team Lilly to meet their evolving needs within a complex healthcare ecosystem. In today's ever-changing world, Lilly uses a dedicated team to meet the needs of consumers and brands through strategic marketing partnerships.
The partnerships team is responsible for creating unique customer engagements, driving patient demand, and streamlining transformative innovation by leveraging partnerships, platforms & talent. The team drives operational efficiencies to reduce risk and ensure strategic excellence.
Lilly is staffing for an Associate Director of Brand Activations and Partnerships who will work with brands on their partnership strategy, activation, and measurement plans. This position reports to the Senior Director of Brand Activations & Partnerships. An ideal candidate has expertise in partnership and/or marketing activations. This individual will closely partner with cross-functional teams, internally and externally, to build new experiences for our customers. Partnerships may include consumer facing platforms across sports, entertainment & culture, as well as HCP congresses.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Mindset: Continually evaluate the partnership ecosystem to identify activations that resonate with our customers.
Collaboration: Work closely with external agency partners and internal cross functional partners including Media, Social Media, Privacy, Legal and Regulatory to support brand activations.
Agency Management: Manage large national media and partnership agency relationships. Build relationship with agency leads to accomplish customer focused strategy and tactics.
Partnership Management: Manage relationships with 3rd parties inclusive of strategy & activation, contractual deliverables, relationship building and performance (i.e., influencers/creators/athletes).
Asset Management: Partner closely with brand teams on campaign development and deliverables. Provide oversight and management of partnership assets and associated activation elements.
Content and Media Activation: In partnership with brand, media, and social teams, identify marketing opportunities for marketing and content integrations in the paid landscape.
Data Driven: In collaboration with Analytics, provide insights on partnership activation performance, pulling learnings into ongoing work. Maintain brand partner playbook grounded in best practices for partnership execution.
Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all consumer marketing guidelines, good promotional practices, privacy policies, and other procedures into partnership marketing.
Communication Engagement: Internally, identify opportunities to pull through partnerships into employee base in collaboration with HR and communication teams. For external opportunities, work closely with communication teams on earned media prospects.
Financial Management: Track and manage budgets. Make business cases for financial ask during annual business planning.
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree
- Senior, seasoned professional with 8+ years' experience in sports and/or entertainment marketing partnerships, sponsorships, creative, and/or marketing/media.
- Lilly does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this employment position.
- Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
- Requires broad expertise across partnership/sponsorship activation and multiple media channels, preferably with a strong comms planning experience.
- Must be highly collaborative in nature and understand how to get things done within a complex, layered organization.
- Track record of successfully leading cross-functional teams to deliver results.
- Must be comfortable with change and ambiguity and ability to resolve problems.
- Demonstrated strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong project management, budget management and prioritization skills.
- Ability to respect and work effectively with diverse people.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills with high attention to detail
