Bloomreach is looking for a high-impact, growth-oriented Associate Director, Business Development, Americas. The Sales (Business) Development team at Bloomreach is responsible for generating new business opportunities and fueling our sales pipeline, collaborating closely with the Sales (Account Executives) and Marketing teams to develop and execute effective strategies for expanding our customer base and driving revenue growth.Â
The Associate Director, Business Development, Americas is responsible for coaching and training the SDR Team to identify and create sales qualified opportunities, ensuring continuous improvement through regular feedback sessions and a laser focus on KPIs. They work closely with sales leaders to effectively transfer leads to the Account Executive team and forecast the conversion of early stage pipeline. They also collaborate with the Marketing team to provide insights on marketing qualified leads (MQLs), campaigns, and effective messaging.
This role is an excellent opportunity if you want to make an outsized impact within a growth oriented, late stage SaaS company. This role reports directly to the VP of Revenue Strategy and Operations and leads an SDR team of 8 in the Americas.Â
Your job will be to:- Build a repeatable and scalable outbound motion to increase qualified pipeline in the Americas
- Coach and mentor members of the SDR Team and model behavior to enhance their ability to identify, reach out to, and generate qualified opportunities
- Conduct regular one-on-one coaching sessions with SDR Team members, provide feedback and support for their ongoing development and growth.
- Develop hiring and onboarding plans for new SDRs to ensure a smooth integration into the team
- Collaborate closely with the Demand Generation and Product Marketing teams, providing valuable feedback on Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) and campaign effectiveness.
- Partner with sales leaders and RevOps to enhance opportunity management and qualification processes
- Accurately forecast and report on weekly, monthly, and quarterly attainment of sales development targets
- Professional â In-depth knowledge of sales development strategies and best practices, including inbound and outbound lead generation, qualification, and nurturing
- Professional -Â Proven ability to make data-driven decisions and recommendations to drive sales pipeline/growth and optimize performance
- Personal â Results-driven mindset with a focus on achieving and exceeding targets
- Personal â Exceptional leadership skills to inspire and motivate the SDR team and work cross functionally across all levels of the organization
- 5+ years of experience with a proven track record of success in sales development or business development roles within the SaaS industry
- Track record of exceeding targets with deep understanding of operational cadence required to build a high performing SDRÂ team, particularly in outbound
- Experience in commerce or marketing technologies is desired
- Demonstrated ability to partner with marketing to co-own pipeline build and management
- Exceptional people leader: acquire, develop and retain top industry talent to perform beyond expectations
- Ability to lead through influence cross-functionally, working alongside organizational leadership (Marketing, Sales, Operations, Product Management, and Executive Team)
- Experienced partnering with RevOps to define a realistic and timely plan on achieving improvements for the function and beyond
- Deep understanding of standard business practices related to Marketing & Sales processes and systems (sales cycle, CRM, outbounding tools, lead generation, reporting, forecasting, territory management, compensation planning, and sales quotas)
- Expertise and experience with GTM tools including Salesforce, Salesloft, Gong, etc.
- Ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment with a high degree of autonomy
- Ability to build productive and positive relationships across the organization at all levels
- Emphasize executional excellence : ability to hold self and team accountable for performance (numerical & non-numerical metrics), monitor progress, and provide regular feedback to drive continuous improvementÂ
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture that drives individual and team success
- Strong commercial acumen and bias for data driven decision makingÂ
- Excellent communication skills, particularly with senior-level partners
The base salary range for this position is $113,000-$140,000, plus commission. The pay range actually offered will take into account a variety of potential factors considered in compensation, including but not limited to skills, qualifications, geographic location, accomplishments, experience, credentials, internal equity and business needs, and may vary from the range listed above.
