Associate Director, Data Operations

The AD Site Payment Data Operations is responsible for the Payments data process of an entire service line, in this case IQVIA's 3rd party payment agent business. The role manages the team & process responsible for the intake of source data (typically EDC) and creation of payment records in the payment system, with associated payment system reconciliation & processing. The role is responsible for the vision & strategy of the team, including process governance, team development, business partnering with all internal & external stakeholders, and scaling the team to deliver in a global team environment.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of payments processing & reconciliation on all IQVIA 3rd party payment agent engagements
• Business partnering with all internal & external stakeholders
• Leadership responsibilities to the Data Operations team of Managers, Supervisors and Analysts. Ability to integrate & bring together different teams into shared objectives & enhance services.
• Mentorship and development of the Data Operations team, ensuring multiple subject matter experts and establishing a knowledge share environment
• Scaling the Data Operations team to deliver in a Global team environment through a period of high growth.
• Develops & delivers on strategic plans for large scale initiatives, large customers and new products
• Process governance & responsibility to continually enhance processes & efficiencies
• Ensure key controls are in place & successful
• Determines the required headcount and skills required to perform the functions of the department
• Establish and maintain an environment for development of processes and works with support to minimize manual effort required to process files
• Coordinates with the Payments Management team on the onboarding of new clients and daily operations
• Either directly or by representative, participates in sponsor kick-off meetings to communicate data management approach
• Process governance
• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

• 5+ years of management experience preferred;
• 5+ years of prior experience in a related field such as site payments, data processing, data management, business process automation
• Client relations experience preferred;
• Prior experience at a biotechnology company, CRO, pharmaceutical company or other organization supporting research activities in a financial or data management / analysis capacity preferred;
