Associate Director, Discovery Informatics

We're seeking an Associate Director, Discovery Informatics to join us in our mission to improve human health and quality of life through the development, distribution, and application of advanced computational methods!
As a member of our drug discovery unit, you'll enable our cutting edge discovery methods by designing and overseeing technology solutions that focus on streamlining and connecting data as part of an evolving data strategy across the entire drug discovery process, from target validation through to clinical programs.

What you'll do:

• Work with drug discovery scientists to enable them through better use of existing tools and to understand areas where further solutions are needed
• Gather and distill needs from end users into actionable informatics projects, aligning with senior leadership to prioritize and support our drug discovery efforts
• Work closely with data architects and engineers to design how projects will be implemented and oversee them to completion
• Leverage your experience to shape Schrödinger's evolving drug discovery data strategy
• Keep a finger on the pulse of new research informatics technologies and approaches to ensure you stay ahead of evolving industry trends

What you should have:

• Bachelor's degree in life or computational sciences, plus ten years of relevant experience or a PhD with five years of experience
• At least five years of experience in research informatics or drug discovery solutions
• A proven track record of experience translating business needs into technical solutions
