Responsibilities:
The Consultant, Enterprise Change Management Communications, provides change management communications counsel and support to functions across the enterprise, helping drive employee understanding and engagement.
Key Objectives/Deliverables:
- Advance the company's transformation agenda by providing integrated, strategic organizational change management communications counsel, implementation guidance and tools and resources.
- Serve as consultant for the roll-out of major organizational shifts helping to position changes appropriately and reach segmented internal audiences with locally relevant information.
- Provide strategic communications counsel to senior leaders and business partners regarding transformational efforts, including developing compelling employee communications plans and content (i.e. key messaging, talking points, video scripts, and written materials).
- Partner with the Enterprise Communications Senior Director and other business partners on urgent, time-sensitive communications relating to transformational and change management efforts (including broad HR initiatives, leadership transitions, organizational changes, etc.).
- Create clear and consistent internal communications, creative multimedia content and compelling storytelling packages that reinforce Team Lilly expectations, Lilly's corporative narrative and values.
- Work closely with Employee Communications advisor and other Enterprise Communications team members on channel strategy and content support, including internal articles, emails, yammer posts, etc.
- Leverage data and analytics to inform and adjust strategy and implementation.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in journalism, communications, public relations or related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of communication experience at either an agency or in-house organization
- Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Lilly does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this employment position.
Additional Skills/Preferences:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to synthesize and shape complex information into clear, concise, compelling communications.
- Proven expertise in developing communication strategies and detailed implementation plans that drive results.
- Ability to be a flexible team player with the highest ethical and business standards.
- PROSCI or similar change management certification.
- Demonstrated experience in organizational change management methodology and communications.
- Proven success coordinating multiple enterprise-wide initiatives
- Demonstrated leadership and influence with executives, senior leaders and business partners.
- Meticulous attention to detail, with ability to grasp and focus on the big picture.
- Experience with social platforms.
- Superb communication skills - including verbal, written and presentation skills - that can help inform and persuade a wide range of audiences.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams across a matrixed organization.
- Effective project management skills, including the ability to prioritize, multi-task, organize and make appropriate trade-off decisions in order to meet deadlines.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills with quick learning agility.
- Ability to be a flexible team player, act quickly and meet deadlines with the highest ethical and business standards.
- Proven ability to be innovative and creative, and knowledgeable about new communications trends.
- Ability to manage issues and remain calm under pressure.
- Ability to drive process development and improvement and communicate best practices and measurement.
