Associate Director, Finance, Durham, NC, IQVIA Biotech

IQVIA Biotech is searching for an Associate Director, Finance to join our team. Qualified candidates will have experience in:

• Functional Business Partnering
• Workforce/Operations reporting and analysis
• Hyperion/Peoplesoft system experience
• FP&A experience in a CRO

Position Description:

A high profile business partner role supporting the Director of Finance in delivering high quality, timely and insightful financial analysis to the IQVIA Biotech business.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Monthly Forecasts/Annual Budget:
  • Working with Operational Management to determine resource projections and any investment requirements
  • Owning/building appropriate cost modeling tools (to a high level of detail) which will drive explanation for variance analysis
  • Accountable for accurate loading of FTE and direct cost financial projections into Hyperion, using Workforce Planning Tools for inputs
• Monthly Financial Reporting:
  • Providing in depth analysis of operational business performance to Director, Finance
  • Support Director, Finance in preparation of monthly reporting requirements
  • Hosting individual monthly finance review meetings with assigned billable department heads
  • Tracking and reporting of any business improvement / strategic opportunities which have been implemented
• Be primary Finance point of contact for India group in relation to reporting of actual financials (and variance analysis) and forecasts
• Ad hoc financial modelling/reporting as required
• This job is primarily home based, with occasional in office days as needed for meetings or deliverables. Expected time in office is a few days/month.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Credibility and presence in working with senior operational management
• Ability to work cooperatively with all levels of staff within the finance and operational teams
• Strong numeracy and analytical skills
• Communicates effectively (verbal and written) with office based and remote based, finance and non-finance minded individuals
• Ability to analyze and organize work efficiently with minimal supervision
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups etc)
• Experience of using some or all of PeopleSoft, Spotfire, Hyperion (including Excel add-ins) and QlikSense would be advantageous

CRITICAL JOB FUNCTIONS IN ACCORDANCE WITH ADA CRITERIA:

• Very little physical effort required to perform normal job duties.

MINIMUM RECRUITMENT STANDARDS:

• Bachelor's degree
• CRO Experience a Plus
• 5 years' experience in a finance business partnering / financial analytics role
