Associate Director, Financial Planning & Analysis
Job Description
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Associate Director, FP & A to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Senior Director, FP&A, this newly created position will play a crucial role in driving the Corporate FP&A financial model, building the annual budget and long-range plan, collaboration reporting, and implementing system and process improvements within FP&A.  You will have the opportunity to make a lasting impact as you partner across the organization to ensure financial stewardship. This role will be based in Emeryville, California
How you’ll contribute:ÂDrive the Corporate FP&A financial model from a GAAP and Cash perspective. Model current and longer term cash flow and understand drivers of change. Â
Manage FP&A responsibilities in support of the organization and leadership, including planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities, monthly close support, and variance analyses
Assist Sr Director of FP&A in the development of the Long Range Plan (LRP), annual budget, and periodic forecast updates (Latest Estimate/LE)
Partner with project management and department heads to ensure consistency between project goals, timelines, and financial plans
Create monthly BVA reports for Departments headsÂ
Develop budgets, actual reports, and quarterly invoices for our collaboration business partners. Â
Assist in implementing an FP&A reporting tool and act as system administrator of planning tool driving process improvements
Conduct ad hoc financial modeling to support tactical and strategic decision-making as needed
Manage CapEx budget process and data collection across the organization
Take an active role in the broader finance team helping with smooth implementation of new finance requirements, systems, and processes.
Ad Hoc reports and analysis as dictated by business needs
MBA in Finance, Economics, or closely related discipline
At least seven years biopharma FP&A experience Corporate FP&A or investment banking experience preferred
Experience with financial planning and ERP systems, including systems implementation
Strong Microsoft Excel modeling skills
Successful track record leading financial processes, systems, and analytics
High attention to detail and solid organizational skills with an excellent ability to communicate both visually and verbally.

California Pay Transparency Disclosure:
This position is classified as an exempt salaried position under the Federal Labor Standards Act. The anticipated base salary range for this position will be $175,000 - $195,000 depending on the exact level of the role. As this role is open to candidates with a wide range of skills and experience, the exact salary will be dependent on the specific level of the position. We value transparency and will make every effort to provide you with a succinct explanation for how the final salary within this range is determined.
