Associate Director, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
Dragonfly Therapeutics is seeking an Associate Director, FP&A to oversee financial planning, forecasting, and analysis to support Dragonfly’s growth and financial health. Reporting to the Head of Finance, the successful candidate will need strong financial acumen, proven collaboration skills, a strategic mindset, and a desire to deeply understand the Company’s pipeline.
Responsibilities:
- Ownership of FP&A activities, including annual budgeting, forecasting, long range planning and variance reporting and analysis for all functions within the organization to provide meaningful forward-looking direction
- Develop and implement financial models to support strategic planning and decision-making
- Lead the annual budgeting process, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives
- Provide regular and frequent reports and presentations to department leaders to clearly communicate financial updates, and to identify key risks/uncertainties and plans for potential mitigation.
- Collaborate with various departments to understand business drivers and incorporate them into financial plans
- Provide financial management and oversight of clinical trial programs and related contracts, specifically with CROs
- Collaborate with the Procurement function to ensure PO requests align with departmental and company budgets.
- Continuously assess and improve financial planning processes and systems
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive finance experience, including 4+ years of biotech industry experience
- Strong systems and technical skills, including proficiency with software relevant to finance operations, NetSuite preferred
- Strong financial modeling, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Independently motivated, detail-oriented, and “can-do” attitude
