Associate Director, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

Dragonfly Therapeutics is seeking an Associate Director, FP&A to oversee financial planning, forecasting, and analysis to support Dragonfly’s growth and financial health. Reporting to the Head of Finance, the successful candidate will need strong financial acumen, proven collaboration skills, a strategic mindset, and a desire to deeply understand the Company’s pipeline.

Responsibilities:

  • Ownership of FP&A activities, including annual budgeting, forecasting, long range planning and variance reporting and analysis for all functions within the organization to provide meaningful forward-looking direction
  • Develop and implement financial models to support strategic planning and decision-making
  • Lead the annual budgeting process, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives
  • Provide regular and frequent reports and presentations to department leaders to clearly communicate financial updates, and to identify key risks/uncertainties and plans for potential mitigation.
  • Collaborate with various departments to understand business drivers and incorporate them into financial plans
  • Provide financial management and oversight of clinical trial programs and related contracts, specifically with CROs
  • Collaborate with the Procurement function to ensure PO requests align with departmental and company budgets.
  • Continuously assess and improve financial planning processes and systems

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive finance experience, including 4+ years of biotech industry experience
  • Strong systems and technical skills, including proficiency with software relevant to finance operations, NetSuite preferred
  • Strong financial modeling, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Independently motivated, detail-oriented, and “can-do” attitude
