Carrier is currently recruiting for an Associate Director, FP&A to join the RLCS team in Indianapolis, IN.

About the Role:

This role balances leadership skills with analytical and technical skills. The role will have ownership over budgeting, monthly forecasting and closing, annual and long range planning for the P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow. This individual prepares and presents to senior leadership and supports various other senior leadership presentations and communications. The role oversees a team of three finance professionals and is responsible for the overall organization of FP&A activities across our $7B+ business. The successful candidate must be comfortable in a high-performing, fast-paced environment and can adapt quickly to produce meaningful outcomes, with integrity and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the consolidation, analysis, and reporting of monthly actual and forecasting for the RLCS business, a $7B+ organization
  • Manage team of 3 professionals and develop clear guidance to the finance team on monthly cadence/deliverables and upcoming events and deadlines
  • Work closely with each RLCS business to explain monthly and forecasted variances to plan, prior estimate, and prior year.
  • Present closing and forecasting results to senior leadership, providing quality insights to the leadership team which will enable more informed decision making
  • Prepare and support various senior executive presentations reviews
  • Lead development of the annual business and long range plan for the overall business, partnering with the Strategy group
  • Develop and enhance financial models to drive 2023 finance objectives around forecasting accuracy (A/R, A/P, Inventory, and general P&L accounts)
  • Support RLCS Executive Director in asset management initiatives including A/R past due and inventory reductions actions across HVAC portfolio
  • Prepare ad hoc analysis, as requested by leadership
  • Drive a culture that embraces and strives for continuous improvement and process optimization

Basic Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in finance
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a finance role

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree (MBA preferred)
  • Prior FP&A and manufacturing industry experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, reporting requirements, financial analysis techniques, and budgeting/forecasting processes, financial/cost analysis and budgeting/forecasting skills
