Responsibilities

The Associate Director, Global PRA, Verzenio(s) Prostate Cancer represents the voice of the payer, particularly the government, private and hospital payer customers, in the global/corporate product commercialization process at all relevant critical decision points.

The focus for this position is to play an essential role in the product development, launch and commercialization process for the future Verzenio prostate indications, the global pre-launch and launch access and pricing strategy and the GPRA toolkit.

This person will lead the regional and affiliate launch engagements (pricing, reimbursement, and access) for the prostate indications from the global side to implement payer strategies in the OUS markets and liaise closely with IBU PRA as well as functional colleagues including Marketing, Market Research, Medical, Development, Health Outcomes, Global Strategic Pricing and Corporate Affairs.

  • Work cross-functionally to develop a deep understanding of payer needs, and of Verzenio prostate data, to inform and direct the development of Global Core Value Messages (CVMEs)
  • In collaboration with global market research, lead the testing and refinement of CVMEs to support the prostate GPRA strategy, and to create a vehicle to communicate the key elements of the value story to payers
  • In collaboration with global market research, lead pricing research to inform potential pricing options that will optimize access and maximize commercial opportunity
  • Lead integration of payer in all brand planning activities, to reflect payer insights and understanding, and to ensure the appropriate strategic focus on the payer customers as part of the overall global brand strategy
  • Identify critical payer needs to sustain PRA, and provide Inputs into clinical and health outcomes study designs that can generate data to meet payer needs
  • Lead launch sequence planning, Local Market Optimization (LMO) and Regional Market Optimization (RMO) processes (in collaboration with Global Strategic Pricing).
  • Provide inputs into key GPORWE deliverables including economic models, HTA toolkits and critical data analyses
  • Lead the alignment of affiliate payer strategy with global payer strategy (alignment of affiliate PRA plans with customer council outputs), facilitate regional/local PRA planners and training meetings
  • Lead aspects of the planning and execution of Global payer advisory boards in OUS markets
  • Develop GPRA tools and programs that will maximize affiliate success and identify and address common issues/opportunities through implementation of payer programs, materials and tools to maximize affiliate success (e.g. CVME reference document, FAQ & Objection Handler, slide kits etc.)


  • Maintain a central repository of payer strategy documents, market research findings and access tools (local, national and global) on the collaboration site


Basic Qualifications/Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Extensive payer acumen, understanding of healthcare system design, PRA strategies and tactics for pre-launch and marketed products
  • Effective communication skills; ability to see, communicate and lead strategic direction
  • Project management with a solution orientation
  • Develops novel and creative solutions, while effectively balancing risk and return
  • Cross-functional networking and influencing
  • Ability to move work forward in the face of ambiguity


Additional Skills/Preferences
  • Oncology experience, payer, marketing and/or selling experience
  • Health Economics background and/or expertise
  • Strong leadership - achieve results through others / influence up, down, and across


Travel Requirements:
  • Approximately 20%-25% depending on home base
