This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for an Associate Director Implementations - Product SME – Referral Management and Patient Access in United States.

This senior-level, client-facing role sits at the intersection of healthcare operations, product expertise, and implementation strategy. The Associate Director will serve as a key functional authority within implementation programs, ensuring that healthcare workflows—particularly in referral management and patient access—are effectively translated into scalable, product-aligned solutions. Working closely with implementation leadership, this role bridges stakeholder needs with platform capabilities to ensure high-quality design, adoption, and operational success. The position involves deep engagement across discovery, solution design, validation, and go-live readiness activities, with a strong emphasis on workflow optimization and measurable outcomes. Acting as a trusted advisor, you will guide clients through operational transformation while supporting internal teams with functional expertise and best practices. This role requires strong healthcare domain knowledge, techno-functional capabilities, and the ability to thrive in complex, fast-paced environments.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead assessment of current-state healthcare workflows, identifying operational gaps and translating them into product-aligned future-state designs
  • Provide functional expertise and advisory support during solution design to ensure scalable, efficient, and outcome-driven implementation approaches
  • Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications and validate implementation outputs against agreed product design standards
  • Serve as a product and workflow expert across referral management and patient access, supporting internal teams and stakeholders throughout implementation
  • Guide stakeholders through process transformation, adoption planning, and operational change management to ensure successful transition to new workflows
  • Collaborate closely with implementation leads, product teams, and client stakeholders to ensure alignment, resolve ambiguity, and maintain delivery quality
  • Support testing, UAT, and go-live readiness activities, ensuring functional accuracy and system readiness prior to deployment
  • Identify optimization opportunities and contribute to continuous improvement of workflows, product usage, and implementation methodologies
  • Requirements:

    • 10+ years of experience in healthcare operations, healthcare technology, consulting, or product implementation with focus on workflows such as referral management, patient access, scheduling, or revenue cycle functions
    • Strong techno-functional expertise in translating business needs into system requirements, workflow designs, and implementation solutions
    • Hands-on experience with healthcare platforms such as Epic, Oracle Health, athenahealth, Meditech, NextGen, or similar EHR/RCM systems
    • Proven experience supporting end-to-end implementation or optimization projects in complex healthcare environments
    • Strong understanding of healthcare operational workflows including patient intake, scheduling, referrals, authorization, or related processes
    • Experience working cross-functionally with implementation, product, and operations teams in client-facing environments
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with ability to influence stakeholders at multiple levels
    • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, information systems, or related field required; advanced degree or certifications (PMP, Lean, Six Sigma) preferred
    • Ability to travel up to 50% as required
    • Benefits:

      • Competitive base salary estimated between 100,000 and 187,000 dollars depending on experience and location
      • Comprehensive healthcare coverage including medical, dental, and vision plans
      • 401(k) retirement savings plan
      • Paid time off and flexible leave policies
      • Opportunity to work in a fully remote, client-facing, high-impact healthcare technology environment
      • Professional development opportunities in healthcare transformation and product implementation
      • Exposure to large-scale healthcare systems and complex implementation programs
      • Equal opportunity employment with a commitment to inclusive hiring practices
