This senior-level, client-facing role sits at the intersection of healthcare operations, product expertise, and implementation strategy. The Associate Director will serve as a key functional authority within implementation programs, ensuring that healthcare workflows—particularly in referral management and patient access—are effectively translated into scalable, product-aligned solutions. Working closely with implementation leadership, this role bridges stakeholder needs with platform capabilities to ensure high-quality design, adoption, and operational success. The position involves deep engagement across discovery, solution design, validation, and go-live readiness activities, with a strong emphasis on workflow optimization and measurable outcomes. Acting as a trusted advisor, you will guide clients through operational transformation while supporting internal teams with functional expertise and best practices. This role requires strong healthcare domain knowledge, techno-functional capabilities, and the ability to thrive in complex, fast-paced environments.
Accountabilities:
- Lead assessment of current-state healthcare workflows, identifying operational gaps and translating them into product-aligned future-state designs
- Provide functional expertise and advisory support during solution design to ensure scalable, efficient, and outcome-driven implementation approaches
- Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications and validate implementation outputs against agreed product design standards
- Serve as a product and workflow expert across referral management and patient access, supporting internal teams and stakeholders throughout implementation
- Guide stakeholders through process transformation, adoption planning, and operational change management to ensure successful transition to new workflows
- Collaborate closely with implementation leads, product teams, and client stakeholders to ensure alignment, resolve ambiguity, and maintain delivery quality
- Support testing, UAT, and go-live readiness activities, ensuring functional accuracy and system readiness prior to deployment
- Identify optimization opportunities and contribute to continuous improvement of workflows, product usage, and implementation methodologies
- 10+ years of experience in healthcare operations, healthcare technology, consulting, or product implementation with focus on workflows such as referral management, patient access, scheduling, or revenue cycle functions
- Strong techno-functional expertise in translating business needs into system requirements, workflow designs, and implementation solutions
- Hands-on experience with healthcare platforms such as Epic, Oracle Health, athenahealth, Meditech, NextGen, or similar EHR/RCM systems
- Proven experience supporting end-to-end implementation or optimization projects in complex healthcare environments
- Strong understanding of healthcare operational workflows including patient intake, scheduling, referrals, authorization, or related processes
- Experience working cross-functionally with implementation, product, and operations teams in client-facing environments
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with ability to influence stakeholders at multiple levels
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, information systems, or related field required; advanced degree or certifications (PMP, Lean, Six Sigma) preferred
- Ability to travel up to 50% as required
- Competitive base salary estimated between 100,000 and 187,000 dollars depending on experience and location
