Key Job Responsibilities:

- Research, development, and pre-development of key IoT platforms for Fire and Security Business Units

- Manage and recruit a high-performing team of Carrier engineers with disciplines in Electronics, Firmware, and Software

- Partner and collaborate with product management, engineering, and program management stakeholders from various business units

- Drive and Lead the IoT Program, manage budgetary constraints, and communicate progress updates to business leaders & Engineering Leadership. Navigate complexity to mitigate design risks. Deliver solutions on time.

- Lead and organize development teams, gather requirements, and organize testing and evaluations of and Electronic & Embedded connected systems.

- Partner with Carrier Digital stakeholders and integrate developed systems into backend cloud and mobile apps.

-Standardize IoT platforms across Carrier in collaboration with Engineering and Product management in Fire & Security business units.

Required Qualifications:

• Direct experience leading and managing multi-discipline R&D Center and external engineering teams and resources
• Direct experience with customer-facing front-end innovation in IoT.
• Experience with Low Power Electronics & Wired/Wireless design (RS485, BLE, Wi-Fi, Lora Wan, 5G, NB-IOT)
• Experience with relevant standards FCC, UL, CSA, and IEC for electronic device qualification
• Experience with Firmware Development, Software, and operating systems (C programming, C++, Python, Free RTOS, Embedded Linux)
• Certified Product Owner or Scrum Master. Familiarity with IoT standards (MQTT, Sparkplug, AWS IOT Core)
• Education:
• BSc in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent with 15+ years of experience in the field
