Gallery Media Group includes women’s lifestyle brand PureWow (W25-45), youth male culture brand, ONE37pm (M18-34), and a collection of 75+ social-first consumer brands, such as @cocktails, @moms, and @recipes, on Instagram and TikTok that reach over 200M consumers. In addition to premium advertising solutions and consumer-facing events, the company has a robust influencer marketing business with a vast creator network that GMG employs for work on behalf of their Fortune 500 clients.

The company was founded in 2010 by CEO, Ryan Harwood, and is now part of VaynerX, the Gary Vaynerchuk-owned holding company.Β 

We are seeking an Associate Director for our Media & Insights team in New York City. The main objective of this position is to oversee the Media Buying and Post Creative Strategy teams, providing leadership, mentorship, and technical expertise/strategy for branded content campaigns.

Responsibilities:Β 

  • Provide daily, hands on support and leadership to Media Buying and Measurement & Insights teams, including hiring, onboarding, technical training and career development
  • Oversee and evolve all internal Media & Insights processes (display & social trafficking, QA, reporting, audience targeting strategies, and more)
  • Assist with client-facing campaign reporting: pacing reports, ad-hoc analysis, high-touch optimizations
  • Work closely with social platform representatives and measurement vendors to ensure GMG is on the forefront of buying trends, measurement opportunities, and innovative social strategy
  • Ongoing monitoring and recording of brand and influencer social channels, campaign components and other relevant online conversations as they relate to performance and insights
  • Lead the creation and curation of insights and data-driven decks both for internal and external stakeholders

  • Develop hypotheses on social platforms, targeting, etc. for use in driving strategy for campaign proposals.
  • Help provide inputs and POV on media placements, pricing, targeting and distribution to Media Planning team for brand RFPs
  • Provide thought leadership around how to present GMG as a leader in the media space to current and potential clients, while also setting both internal and external expectations of media execution
  • Manage up to senior leadership the most crucial aspects of branded content campaigns, keeping them abreast of any pertinent developments and urgent needs

Requirements:Β 

  • 5+ years of industry experience working in-platform with a proven track record of executing sophisticated, large scale digital media programs that drove tangible business outcomes
  • Passion for mentoring, learning, creative problem solving, and research
  • Extensive experience working across a variety of social platforms: Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, etc.
  • Can combine creativity and analytics with the ability to convert into a story
  • Innate curiosity and ability to adapt + be flexible, whether with new tools, platforms, processes, etc.Β 
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Experience in managing performance marketing goals across full-funnel activation setting
  • Fluency with analytics, attribution and measurement systems.Β  Including but not limited to:
    • Google Analytics
    • Nielsen Branded Content Effectiveness
  • Experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs
  • Knowledge of different ad formats and monetization strategies
  • An individual who demonstrates the ability to navigate a portfolio of brands within a larger business group, gain an understanding of their unique company architectures, to build and strengthen relationships media strategy

Location: New York (hybrid)
