Position Summary:


The Associate Director, Operational Strategy, Precision Site Network, Site and Patient Engagement will be a core member of the expert team within Operational Strategy Department of Precision for Medicine. As part of this team, they will provide management of the Precision Site Network and the collaboration and involvement of patient advocacy groups. They will play a role in achieving Precision Site Network (PSN) focused goals, and as part of the Operational Strategy Department, will contribute and support colleagues in the achievement of Operational Strategy Department and Company goals. The Associate Director, Operational Strategy, Precision Site Network, Site and Patient Engagement will also support theClinical Operations and Business Development team by representing Precision operations at pre and post award meetings. In addition, this team member will lead specific projects that will enable Precision for Medicine to stay at the forefront of innovation and maintain their competitive edge as a scientifically driven engaged partner for our biotech and pharma clients

Essential functions of the job include but are not limited to:Ā 

Expands and oversees the Precision for Medicine Site Network (PSN) globally:

  • Works with the Precision Site Network colleagues to establish and apply methods and processes for the Precision Site Network including network site selection and performance criteria, conduct and maintenance of site assessment, management of metrics, role of the PSN pre study award and post study award
  • Works with the Precision Site Network colleagues to expand the PSN globally and across Precision target specialist areas, including individual site networks in Oncology, Rare/Orphan Disease, Cell/Gene Therapy, Neurology/CNS, Cardiovascular, Autoimmune/Allergy, Paediatric
  • Conducts site visits to establish and progress relationship, conduct site assessments as well as assess site recruitment potential and research interests.
  • Engages with the PSN sties to develop and maintain strong relationship. Conduct site contact for issue resolution as required
  • Liaises with project management, operational strategy and business operational leads to continually leverage and develop site relationships to meet evolving client and study needs
  • Engages and collaborates, where applicable and possible, with targeted advocacy groups to further the mission of the overall network
  • Where required, act as an information source for PSN issues raised for pre and postĀ  award studies
  • Supports in the maintenance of an information center for the PSN
  • Supports in the maintenance of metrics for the PSN, collaborating with colleagues on how this is integrated into wider site metrics capture and reporting
  • Supports and/or undertakes site selection input for pre and post award as required
  • Liaise closely with the feasibility group within Operational Strategy to provide input and support for pre and post award feasibility and site selection
  • May support the Operational Strategy Lead for proposal, budget and bid defense input
  • Provide training and mentoring on the Precision Site Network and other relevant subjects as needed
  • Represent Precision at conferences and marketing events, particularly to show case the PSN, organize Investigator meetings and support Operational Strategy and Business Development

Line management

  • This position may involve line management within the operational strategy group
  • Supports performance management and professional development of direct reports, including ongoing feedback, coaching, and career support


Qualifications:
Minimum Required:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience ideally in a scientific or healthcare discipline.
  • Approximately 10 years in the CRO/pharmaceutical industry supporting clinical trials and overallĀ  drug development or equivalent, relevant experience and/or demonstrated competencies.
  • Proven experience in a clinical research function related to site interaction, selection, andĀ 
    relationship management

Preferred:

  • Graduate, postgraduate degree

Travel required

  • Domestic and international travel including overnight stays.
