ABOUT THE FLOCK
As a member of the Market Access team (at bluebird, it’s Access, Value, and Evidence Strategy, AVES), you will be working alongside some of the most committed, creative, and experienced individuals in the cell and gene therapy industry to break new ground so that patients can access our FDA-approved gene therapies—patients who often have no therapeutic alternatives to battle progressive, debilitating, and life-shortening diseases. We are passionate about the tremendous value we believe these therapies bring to patients, their families, the healthcare system, and society overall. Our team is highly integrated and data- and evidence-driven to capitalize on the dynamic flow of information and insights across stakeholders (always being sure to maintain the highest standards of compliance). HOW YOU’LL FLY
You'll help to bring more patients their bluebird days by:
- Leading the development of payer and health system value messages and communication tools to effectively execute bluebird’s market access strategy, including managing the MLR process.
- Ensuring that communication of the value platform is personalized by customer segment (health plan, PBM, Medicaid, Medicare, federal, pharmacy, hospital and GPO) and stakeholder, and delivered through the most effective channels.
- Collaborating with a cross-functional team to leverage insights in the development and evolution of a compelling payer value proposition that ensures continued access and reimbursement for appropriate patient.
- Spearheading innovative payer related solutions for field sales and account management teams.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
You’re the bird we’re looking for if you have:
- Bachelor’s degree required; 8+ years of experience in a payer marketing or other relevant market access role within the innovative biopharmaceutical industry
- A demonstrated understanding of the mechanics, economics, and trends impacting the US healthcare ecosystem, including influences across various payer segments and the potential impact on the company’s business opportunities
- Excels in a fast-paced, results-driven, highly accountable environment where you can make a clear impact
- Ability to translate market trends and customer needs into customer resources or tactics
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Proven ability to effectively partner across cross functional stakeholders to develop and deploy tactics and tools
Compensation & BenefitsÂ
We offer a total compensation and rewards package that ranks among the best in our industry. Base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The anticipated annualized salary range for this role is $178,000 - $215,300. Your base pay will be determined based on several factors including market data, demonstrated skills, relevant education or training, experience, qualifications, internal equity, and travel requirements. Our overall package also includes eligibility for stock, incentive bonuses, and benefit programs, a flexible time off program, as well as 28 paid holidays, including 2 company shutdowns.Â
