Associate Director, Product & Strategy Enablement
Job Description
The Associate Director, Product & Strategy Enablement is responsible for critical business processes including product analysis, decision support and thought leadership. This role provides strategic direction over product lifecycle reporting and analyses, monitors key performance indicators, and ensures ongoing maintenance and integrity of Gartner's Product Master.
What you'll do:
- Select methods, techniques and analytical approach and develop new processes to address complex problems when necessary
- Establish Product Governance Model Drive product configuration strategy for Gartner's Product Master Architecture Metadata Business rules
- Oversee the documentation of Product Master standards, guidelines, governance, and processes to ensure Product Master data are consistent, available, reliable, and accurate
- Work closely with the Gartner Product & Pricing Council stakeholders to enable the Product life Cycle Management in our business systems from Pre selling Sales Product Catalog to post purchase entitlement management.
- Develop processes, data strategies, standards, guidelines, and governance to ensure ongoing maintenance and integrity of Product Master
- Collaborate with system owners to leverage Product Master data across the enterprise
- Monitor and improve the quality and accuracy of master data by ensuring routine audits and data cleansing activities are completed
- Assesses the impact of data change requests to the data structure and applicable business processes and prepares recommendations for Governance review
- Identify areas for Product Master improvement through the appropriate choice of error detection and correction, process control and improvement, or process design strategies
- Provide Product Master consulting in support of business and IT initiatives to improve company database systems and to encourage automation
What you'll need:
- Bachelor's degree in information science, data management, business administration, computer science, or related field preferred
- 7+ years' experience working with large data sets, with industry standards, regulations, and guidelines in database warehousing and other relevant systems
- Strong understanding of Gartner's lines of business and Product offerings
- Ability to drive consensus, surface issues and make decisions on complex issues that may impact the integrity of Product Master
- Experience with reporting and configuring Salesforce/Conga CPQ
- Ability to design and configure dimensional databases to meet business needs
- Strong understanding of application, configuration and implementation procedures of data standards and guidelines on data ownership, coding Team Members structures, and data replication
- Experience in data cleansing, archiving, and other data management methods to improve database performance
- Experience creating data workflows and process flow diagrams, business or technical requirements documents, and product support documents.
