Summary of Position:
NVE Experience Agency seeks an Associate Director, Production – Spirits to supervise, train and lead our rapidly growing production teams to success, ensuring talent and resources are maximized.
Primary responsibilities of managing production teams include providing guidance to teams in developing ideas and concepts, developing executable plans, approving budgets and overseeing profitability, managing project timelines, forecasting staffing needs and ensuring projects are flawlessly executed within our target margin. Additionally, you will be responsible for interviewing/hiring freelance resources as well as setting goals and overseeing individual development plans for full-time reports to ensure the growth of the team.
The ideal candidate is a blend of a creative and analytical thinker, capable of handling logistics and technical elements while also keeping control of the budget. This person should also have a comprehensive understanding of event design in order to ensure the concept comes to life. They possess the ability to juggle a variety of tasks and collaborate with multiple teams to successfully execute events. This is a management position that will supervise employees while also overseeing overall event operations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work day to day with our clients to inspire confidence and build bonds
- Build, manage and execute project budgets ranging from $500K - $5M+
- Maintain set profit margins across all projects
- Engage NVE leadership to set long-term plans for growth and development
- Accurately estimate internal time to be spent across projects and manage team time logs throughout
- Develop and manage project work-back schedule
- Oversee relationships with key vendors
- Collaborate with our creative team on event design, including décor, floral and scenic
- Oversee production schedules, permits, and logistics
- Source and supervise contracts with venues and vendors including outreach for multiple competitive quotes
- Oversee onboarding and payment of vendors
- Effectively analyze and implement project needs and problem solving solutions
- Manage the growth and development of production department team members
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- 8+ years of proven event production experience required
- Strong project management skills with proven ability to lead teams
- 4-5 years of management or supervisory experience
- Client focus with attention to detail, flexibility and accountability for results
- Leadership and coaching skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Extraordinary organizational skills, self-motivation and intuition
- Thrive in a fast paced, agency environment
- Excellent computer skills, Microsoft and Apple applications
- Thorough understanding of permitting standards (Including but not limited to TPA, Special Event, Fire, Health & Safety, Building & Safety, Noise, etc.) and ability to successfully manage production timelines and needs as related to permit procurement
- Ability to effectively manage tasks across multiple projects/various clients at the same time
Location:
- The ideal candidate will be based in New York, or the surrounding area
Salary Estimation:
- $120k-$140k
