Job Description

Under the direction of the Senior Director of Revenue Cycle Systems, this position is responsible for maintaining a consolidated and compliant system wide charging structure within Epic. Ensure consistent build and adoption across the Montefiore Health System of charge related master files and tables included, but no limited to the EPA, EPM, EPP, ERX, SUP, DEP and others as appropriate. Serves as the Revenue Cycle lead for charging build for all Montefiore Member Hospitals to ensure improvement in organizational performance by identifying opportunities for improvement in revenue cycle process. Responsible for strategy and system optimization related to the EAP and other related master files impacting charging. Provide support to the Revenue Integrity and Revenue Cycle Systems departments through the identification, quantification and execution of special projects identifying areas of increased net revenue opportunities.

Education required: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Economics/Statistics, Finance, Business Management, Healthcare administration or a related field

Seven to ten years of related health care administration/financial or revenue cycle analysis experience.

Experience in financial anlysis, budgeting, business and process analysis, working knowledge of third party reimbursement is required.

Strong analytical skills and excellent communication skills.

Knowledge of managed care terminologies and ability to interpret hospital bills, explanation of benefits and medical records.

Strong computer ansystem application skills. Strong knowledge of IT systems such i.e., Crystal reports preferred. Experience in MS access preferred.

Epic Certification required.

Knowledge of coding guidelines, both ICD 9 CM and CPT 4 preferred.

Hospital Charge Master experience and/or billing or coding experience focused on CDM is is preferred.

Epic Certification/Accreditation in Resolute Hospital Billing Administration, Charge Router and/or Charge Master Epic Applications Certifications is required.

Lean Six Sigma Preferred

PMP Certification preferred

Coding/Compliance Certification preferred.
