Responsibilities

The Associate Director SFO | Sales Reporting will report to the Sr. Director - Global Sales Capabilities/Optimization and will be accountable for capabilities including sales force sizing and structure, territory alignment design and maintenance, field call planning, customer targeting and will be accountable for partnering with the BU Operations Advisors and Sales Leadership to provide meaningful customer/business insights related to sales force effectiveness, deliver standard reporting to measure performance at different levels (Sales Rep to VP) and provide relevant insights to inform key decisions (Business Planning).

Sales Operations Capabilities & Reporting
  • Directly impact short- and long-term enterprise-wide revenue by building and delivering recommendations on Sales Force size, structure & alignment, and customer prioritization and delivering key insights on sales force opportunities to the BU leadership
  • Support the growth of in-house capabilities in both Indianapolis and Lilly's global business service center in LCCI
  • Develop deep functional expertise in Sales Force Optimization & Sales Reporting
  • Monitor customer and marketplace to identify opportunities to optimize sales operations strategy
  • Continue to reduce reliance on vendors to the minimum effective level
  • Maintain service levels and quality to support on-going business needs
  • Define key metrics and measures necessary for BUs to operate the sales force and define the associated business rules.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders on the development of any new metrics and dashboards to assist in enhanced business decision making abilities
  • Enable the evolution of generating operational & sales insights and relevant information to key stakeholders


Key accountabilities will include the following:
  • Implement sales force optimization and reporting for the US across BUs while meeting business needs
  • Manage the effective deployment of information and business processes in support of BU sales strategy
  • Evaluate and resolve complex business and operational problems and challenges that arise in the course of projects
  • Partner with the GOSO Operations Advisors to the lead BU Sr. management through the execution of sales operations and reporting projects
  • Identify opportunities for enhanced sales force execution
  • Be accountable for the performance and results of sales force optimization and reporting project
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and any applicable state and federal marketing and promotion laws and regulations.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • At least 5 years of pharmaceutical or relevant work experience
  • Qualified candidate must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Lilly
