Associate Director, Sales Planning
Job Description
As an Associate Director, Sales Planning you will be responsible for supporting the Dotdash Meredith Finance revenue organization by developing and overseeing strategic media plans and programs across the Dotdash Meredith portfolio of sites for clients spanning all areas of the financial services industry. You will provide training and mentorship to the Sales Planning team as well as leverage your acute attention to detail and excellent communication skills to partner with Sales, Marketing, Account Management and others to grow the Dotdash Meredith Finance vertical and drive success for our clients.
About Your Contributions
- Report to and work closely with the Sales Planning Team Lead for Dotdash Meredith Finance
- Embody leadership, providing guidance and training to Sales Planners ensuring their ability to create strategic media plans and hit deadlines
- Serve as a resource to the Planning team during the media plan development process
- Oversee internal team processes and training documents
- Help team members understand how they can successfully identify and mitigate problems before they occur
- Build media plans and manage RFP deliverables such as plan revisions, rate negotiations and day-to-day requests for select key accounts
- Manage campaign setup process, including IO review, order entry, financial and legal approval
- Conduct analyses to determine the best advertising inventory and packaging to include in client proposals to maximize revenue and win rate
- Utilize media planning tools (GAM, Looker) to drive key insights and strategies
- Participate in the analysis of advertising rates
- Maintain an in-depth understanding of Dotdash Meredith technology, products, and services
- Complete special projects as required
- 3-5 years of experience in Sales Planning and/or Digital Media along with management experience
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Familiarity with Asana, Salesforce, Operative, GAM and/or Looker is a plus
- Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment
- Strong attention to detail, time management and organizational skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to meet client deadlines and work well under pressure
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with internal team members
