The ERP Services IT organization is actively looking for an IT supervisor with experience leading SAP projects and production support activities. The supervisor will lead a team of resources (direct and indirect) through SAP project delivery and support, management of budget, governance oversight, and vendor management. Tight collaboration, influence, and effective communication with key partners and stakeholders will be key to the success of the project. The SAP Source to Pay IT leader will need to influence at all levels of the organization and have a keen ability to work under pressure.
In addition to project leadership, the SAP Source to Pay IT leader will have admin responsibilities for the direct reports in the organization. This includes performance management, talent management, human resource planning, coaching, etc.
Regional and international travel will be required to meet with vendors, project resources, and Source to Pay stakeholders.
What You'll Be Doing:
This position will serve as first level IT leadership for the team that supports the Source to Pay businesses process and applications, including SAP, Ariba, and Aravo. This position will foster a strong partnership with Elil Lilly sourcing and purchasing business leadership to ensure we are managing our existing technology portfolio for source to pay while balancing resource needs for new strategic initiatives.
How You'll Succeed:
- Manage IT resources (develops staffing strategy and resource capacity, recruiting and hiring) and dollars (budgets) to meet those objectives.
- Proactively partner with each direct report to ensure development needs and career objectives are clearly expressed, documented and tracked.
- Communicate direction by prioritizing work within the IT portfolio of projects and services.
- Oversee robust project delivery practices and ensure proactive alignment with business partners.
- Develop IT area strategies and objectives and encourage the adoption of IT best practices or standardized processes.
- Ensure proactive sustainability and resilience for application across the portfolio while driving continuous improvement of service management processes.
What You Should Bring:
- Demonstrated strong customer interaction skills
- Demonstrated ability to think creatively about complex business problems and resolve these through new approaches
- Previous supervisory experience
- Previous experience in an application delivery or application services center of excellence as it relates to a single global instance of SAP ERP.
- Experience in Source to Pay operations (purchasing, sourcing, procurement ops)
- Experience in successfully delivering to quality standards within the Lilly Quality System
- Certification in ITIL processes
Your Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related technical field
- Or High School Diploma/GED
- Minimum 5 years' experience in IT solution delivery, service management, or portfolio management
