About this role:

Carrier has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Director - Strategic Sourcing for it's Indianapolis, IN location. This role requires a recognized expert in Project Management, a thought leader, who establishes and owns project plans. Someone who oversees the handling of project problems, and leads resolution development for escalated problems, oversees strategic planning efforts, develops new business growth strategies, and selects, manages relationships with external contractors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Establishes critical sourcing strategies of the RLCS business unit, ensuring continuous improvement.
• Develops and implements mid-to long-term supply chain strategies and networks that address capacity issues, production location decisions, etc.
• Partners with internal clients and stakeholders to identify sourcing needs and develops sourcing strategies to continuously improve and re-evaluate the purchasing activities of the business unit.
• Directs supplier selection based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production and distribution capabilities, and details of suppliers' reputation and history.
• Directs negotiations, renegotiations, and administration of contracts with suppliers, vendors, and other representatives.
• Directs negotiations with suppliers and analyzes suppliers' operations to determine factors that affect prices and to determine the lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules.
• Communicating to suppliers and internal customers clearly, addressing their concerns and resolving any conflicts that arise

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, or operations management
• 10+ years experience in procurement leadership, working with cross-functional teams and managing global teams

Preferred Qualifications

Other qualifications you may have that would be beneficial in this role include:

• Masters degree in business administration, engineering, operations management, or similar
• Experience in project management
• Expertise in driving large-scale procurement transformations
• Exceptional analytical, organizational, and planning skills to optimize and drive efficiency
• Experience in supplier negotiations and management
• Ability to handle multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment
