Associate Director, Sustainability Integration

Basic Function

You are a passionate process implementation and change management expert with 8+ years of professional experience. You are responsible for developing and supporting the delivery of the approach to integrate corporate sustainability into processes, governance, and drive change among various stakeholders across a complex organization. You have expertise in setting up new systems, processes and governance in sustainability or a field such as safety or operational excellence, for example. You also have a proven track record in change management, honed through development and supporting the delivery of training to embed sustainability across the organization.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead the integration of the corporate sustainability strategy into employees by developing the Sustainability Champions and Ambassadors network.
• Provide overall oversight on behalf of Global Sustainability for the various governance frameworks across the sustainability strategy. Engage with internal stakeholders to assess opportunities to streamline and support continuous improvement of our processes.
• Engage with Global Sustainability program owners and other internal stakeholders to assess opportunities for integration of and alignment to sustainability strategy with existing practices such as OE standards/ policies and practices /business processes, guidelines, etc. and support development of approach.
• Lead development of internal training materials that help to embed and ensure Sustainability is incorporate into mindset of our employees.
• Collaborate with Human Resources to support internal change management strategy in support of our overall with supporting parts of LyondellBasell (i.e. Human Resources). This includes assessing need for specialists to deliver training / development intervention.
• Act as Business Process Owner for Sustainability for enterprise-wide initiatives such as the IT Sustainability Strategy.
• Participate in speaking on company sustainability strategy to employees across the company.

Min. Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree.
• Strong knowledge and skills on process strategy, alignment and execution in sustainability or a related field (such as Safety).
• 10 years minimum of professional experience including 3+ years working on driving process and change management.
• Experience in stakeholder engagement (internal and/or external).
• Demonstrated people leadership and communication skills, ability to stand alone and interact with senior management.
• Strong influencing skills and ability to build lasting relationships across multiple layers in the organization.
• Proven record in developing capability building or learning and development programs.
• Strong ability to build network.
• English required. Additional languages a benefit.
