Summary:

The vision of the Leadership Development function/team is to provide superior Leadership Development for all people managers of Daiichi Sankyo that will enable it to compete and win in a highly competitive pharmaceutical marketplace. The Purpose of the Leadership Development team will be to create and flawlessly execute a cohesive and comprehensive training and development plans that will enable Daiichi Sankyo leaders to excel in both their current and future roles, which will drive accelerated levels of performance across the U.S. commercial organization. The Senior Manager of Leadership Development will have a variety of responsibilities that support both the team vision and purpose. The primary responsibilities will be to effectively conduct Leadership and Management training classes; partner with HR colleagues to liaise with senior leadership of both home office and sales to meet their specific Leadership Development requests designed to their functional needs; effectively deliver a variety of topics for non-manager colleagues in home office; and to successfully manage specific projects that are assigned that help the organization in meeting its Leadership Development and team objectives. Support the enterprise on accelerated development initiatives for High Potential talent and talent management initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Flawlessly Execute all assigned Phases of Leadership Development Curriculum for all new people managers, both sales and home office: Including vendor management (only when we can't provide the training internally), creation and refinement of content, ensure all logistical requirements are in place for successful class execution, exceptional facilitation/co-facilitation in class, creation of sustainment tools for post-class learning activities, provide feedback to manager of participant, gain feedback on execution of class. This includes accelerated development and talent management initiatives.
  • Flawlessly Execute all assigned Individual Development content for home office colleagues: Including creation and refinement of content, ensure all logistical requirements are in place for successful class execution, exceptional facilitation/co-facilitation in class, creation of sustainment tools for post class learning activities, provide feedback to manager of participant, gain feedback on execution of class.
  • Provide "just-in-time" training solutions for assigned Sales and Home Office customers: Conduct frequent needs assessments, identify content that will meet agreed upon people-manager developmental needs, deliver/facilitate content at Leadership Retreats and other meeting venues, follow-up with post-training sustainability tools, and assesses success of program based on feedback and application of content delivered.
  • Project Management: successfully manage any assigned projects that support the ongoing Leadership Development initiatives which align with corporate goals and objectives.

Administration:

  • Expense Reporting, cost containment, time management

Qualifications:

Successful candidates will be able to meet the qualifications below with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Education Qualifications (from an accredited college or university):

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Master's Degree preferred

Experience Qualifications:

  • 4 or More Years experience designing, delivering and facilitating training workshops including Leadership Development and Management programs preferred
  • 1 or More Years manager (or) people manager experience preferred
  • Prior work experience in the Healthcare and Pharmaceutical industry including Field Sales preferred
  • Work experience in HR discipline and/or exposure to talent management and career development initiatives preferred
  • 7 or More Years overall related experience required
  • Lifting & transporting training materials up to 70 lbs
  • Standing for extended presentations, up to 2 hrs 15 (15% of Time)
  • Ability to travel up to 30%
