Position Overview
The Associate Director/Director, Commercial Analytics & Insights is a key member of the PharmaEssentia USA Corporation’s Commercial team and the driving force to provide insights and analytics solutions to cross-function commercial leadership including sales, marketing, access and strategy. In this role, you will leverage an array of Real World Data (RWD) and advanced analytical techniques to present actionable intelligence, report on business performance and lead the integration of insights to drive better commercial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and integration of commercial insights and analytics to monitor brand performance, support business strategy and improve customer experience
  • Act as a strategic thought partner to Commercial and Market Access leaders: together to create, analyze and refine brand strategies and action plans to drive growth in brands and indication expansion
  • Partner with Marketing and Sales to develop omnichannel engagement strategies by analyzing market trends, marketing and sales operations analytics, HCP and patient journey analysis, and sales force efficiency to optimize commercial operations
  • Lead the efforts to develop scalable analytical solution for recurring analyses, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to improve business operations and efficiency
  • Support the design/redesign aspects of PharmaEssentia’s commercial data environment and processes as we evolve from a single commercialized product organization to multiple products
  • Conduct analytics on various data (e.g., specialty pharmacy and specialty distribution (SP/PD) data) to derive insights and form actionable recommendations. Evaluate and manage existing and new data sources to elevate analytics capabilities and meet business needs.
  • Manage the relationship, performance, productivity of the external vendors
  • Other duties as assigned


The Person
Education: Master’s degree in life science disciplines, or a related field.
Qualifications and Experience:

  • A minimum of 7 years of combined relevant business experience in commercial analytics, pharmaceutical analytics, and/or management consulting
  • Analytical skills: SQL, R, SAS, or Python, Microsoft Excel
  • Data visualization skills: Tableau, Microsoft PowerPoint
  • RWD database experience: Marketing/digital data, patient-level claims data, specialty pharmacy data, EHR, lab test data, HCO hierarchy/affiliation data, Veeva CRM suite and other pharmaceutical data sources
  • Demonstrated skill communicating data, models and analyses to non-technical audiences
  • Experience in building integrated capabilities of internal and external partners to ensure analytics-driven solutions are adopted, scalable, and repeatable
  • Experience in defining data management capabilities and creating infrastructure and guidance for data governance.
  • Knowledge across a broad spectrum of analytic approaches / data sources and ability to identify appropriate approach to address key business questions
  • Experience with field force analytics, including customer segmentation, targeting, and promotional response measurements
  • High degree of creativity and innovation in developing new approaches, processes, and methodologies
