Associate Director/Director, QA Systems and Training

The primary role of the Associate Director/Director, QA Systems and Training is responsible for overseeing and managing the development, implementation, maintenance, and evaluation of quality management systems and training for the organization. The ideal candidate ensures that quality practices are in compliance with applicable standards, regulations, and procedures. This is a hybrid role.

• Oversee the development, implementation and refinement of quality policies, procedures, and objectives as identified to ensure goals are achieved.
• Responsible for overseeing the development and execution of the training for the organization.
• Lead and manage Quality Document Control and Training team.
• Analyze and report on quality metrics, trends, and performance.
• Lead the efforts to consistently enhance quality systems and training content, driving continuous improvement initiatives forward.
• Work directly with all levels and departments at CymaBay supporting quality systems and training.
• Acts as the Veeva Quality Docs and Vault Training business system owner to support ongoing validation, implementation, and system configuration changes, inclusive of testing new functionality and content for the quality docs and learning platform.
• Ensure alignment with department management and company vision.
• Support regulatory inspections.
• Complete other responsibilities, as assigned

• Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience in Quality focused on document control and training.
• Prior experience with quality management and training systems (i.e, paper, hybrid, cloud-based)
• Proven track record of successful process improvement initiatives.
• Effectively interact with multi-disciplinary functional group
• Strong change management skills and demonstrated ability to simplify and improve business processes.
• Adaptable to a fast-paced, complex, and ever-changing business environment
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills effectively interfacing with internal stakeholders.
• Solid organizational skills and attention to detail
• Self-motivated and self-disciplined
• Always acts with integrity and respect to others
• Excellent computer proficiency (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

• Bachelor of Science degree
