Associate Editor

Gallery Media Group is a rapidly growing digital media company whose mission is to “make positivity louder.” Its three key sectors include: 

• Media + Publishing: PureWow, a women’s lifestyle brand; ONE37pm, a men’s lifestyle brand at the intersection of culture, music, NFTs and sports; and a collection of premium podcast shows that includes the GaryVee Audio Experience, Mom Brain, In House with Arielle Charnas, Royally Obsessed and The CMO Podcast with Jim Stengel.
• Social Portfolio: 50+ owned + operated accounts across TikTok, Instagram, Twitter and Pinterest, including running TikTok accounts for brand partners
• Talent and Influencer Arm: Strategy and activations ranging from celebrity partnerships and stunts to year long ambassadorships and campaign work across platforms and categories 

PureWow is seeking a full-time Associate Editor to write and create SEO content across all categories, including wellness, relationships, money and travel. This role is a key part of the editorial team and will work closely with PureWow's Growth team. The ideal candidate should be both a team player and a self-starter with a strong attention to detail and a passion for creating superb editorial content with the goal of ranking in Search.

Responsibilities:

• Write content focused on SEO keywords
• Retroactively optimize live articles while still maintaining the PureWow voice 
• Identify and carry out content optimization opportunities across all PureWow verticals
• Collaborate closely with the audience development team and senior editors on a daily basis
• Use data and analytics to brainstorm and guide editorial decisions
• Build own content within CMS
• Assist with special SEO projects

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of relevant writing and editing experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced organization
• A strong writer who is comfortable writing about a variety of topics especially wellness, relationships and travel
• Experience working with different types of Content Management Systems
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Highly adaptable and quick to learn 
• Knowledge of SEO best practices and SEO tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, and Google Trends is a plus

In 3 Months You Will...

• Be proficient in our CMS system, Photoshop and our editorial workflow as it relates to copy editing, story approvals, image research and more
• Tackle multiple optimizations per day
• Pitch optimization projects
• Be comfortable using SEO tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, and Google Trends to guide optimization projects.
• Adding affiliate links to any and all relevant stories.
