Associate Editor

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized, self-motivated, and creative, editor and content creator/writer to join our editorial department. If you love cars or aspire to be an automotive journalist, you have an opportunity here to work with a fun team of seasoned professionals who will teach you everything they know. As our Associate Editor, you’ll be responsible for keeping our team meticulously organized, processing content for publication, data input, and various administrative tasks, but there’s also a lot room for content creation (writing/video/social media/podcast) and growth.

Job Responsibilities:

- Content layout and scheduling

- Content processing and organization/maintaining organized workflow

- Executing various editorial campaigns

- Admin and data input

- Contribute creative ideas for content creation and editorial/marketing campaigns

- Forum moderation and posting

- SEO optimizing content

- Assigning/editing news stories, writing news and features

- Social media posting, newsletter copy (English and French)

- Copy writing (English and French)

Qualifications:

- Strong organization, time management, and high attention to detail

- Strong command of the English language

- 3-5 years of experience in the field or a related field

- Knowledge of auto industry

- Basic newswriting skills

- Experience with various CMS platforms, Excel/Google Sheets, Photoshop, Jira, YouTube, Google Forms

- French language familiarity/proficiency (priority for a bilingual editor)

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
