Faribault Daily News Associate Editor

The Faribault Daily News is seeking an editor to write news stories for the daily print edition and online website, while also running the general editorial operations, including overseeing a reporter contributing to the same paper.

The associate editor should be comfortable covering all types of news, including local government, events, features, hard news, breaking news and more. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and a strong communicator, who is willing and able to get out in the community and make their presence felt. In the editor role, they should also be organized, responsive and capable of solving problems quickly.

An associate's or bachelor's degree in a journalism related field, or equivalent experience working in the industry, is desired. Experience in professional journalism is a must.

The editor will be expected to live in or near the community being covered.
