About the role
The Associate Engineer (AE) works with and under the supervision of senior-level Engineers, assisting with post-sales engineering, consulting design, and implementation services related to hardware and software technologies. Additionally, Associate Engineers provide pre-sales support by assisting senior-level Engineers with the development, review, and validation of customer solutions. Travel is required - Computacenter United States Inc. AE will spend a majority of their time working at client sites and the Integration Center.
Salary range: $31/HR - $32/HR USD
What you'll be doing
- Pro-actively monitor our Service-Now queue for the following tasks:
- New Hires/On-Boarding requests for the Armonk and other locations as needed such as Teleworkers or as deemed needed by the manager.
- Off-Boarding requests: collecting equipment and processing the equipment when it is received in the Armonk office within 1 business day. This includes items such as laptops, mobile phones, monitors, teleworker printers and other related accessories depending on the type of employee.
- Software Removal Requests
- Process Teleworker package and /or Printer requests.
- Provide or ship accessory requests for customers (on-site in Armonk and Teleworkers).
- Loaner requests: These include laptops with a Swiss Re build or for Remote Claims Audits according to operating system requirements.
- Work with the team to create a balanced approach to workload for tasks related to on-boarding and off-boarding. This mainly pertained to the New York and Boston/Windsor colleagues.
- Ensure loaner laptop returns for Remote Claims Audits are wiped and rebuilt within 1 business day and returned to the proper shelf space.
- Shipping equipment for Teleworker related requests in a timely manner.
- Prepare and deliver mobile devices as needed for New Hires or replacements as requested by the Mobile Administrator.
- Share a list of returned mobile devices with the Mobile Admin on a weekly basis (every Friday) to ensure they are processed properly in Service-Now in a timely manner.
- Preparing laptops and/or desktops for team members related to equipment refresh or replacements, new hires as needed.
- Assisting with quarterly Inventory checks: providing a full inventory of laptops and desktops via the provided Excel Sheet in the Armonk room L1C85. Also assist as needed with the reconciliation of assets resulting from the inventory check.
- Ensure the L1C85 room is maintained in a clean and organized manner.
- Ensure all assets in room L1C85 have the proper asset status and supporting notes in Service-Now.
- Ensure the Mobile cabinet in L1C85 is kept organized and updated in Service-Now.
- Preparing equipment for asset disposal: wiping machines, placing them on a pallet, providing a list of assets to be Retired in Service-Now.
- Replace toner cartridges for on-site printers in Armonk.
- Process requests for Teleworker toner requests.
What you have
- Experience troubleshooting hardware such as laptops, monitors, HP printers.
- Experience with mobile devices primarily iPhones and iPads.
- Windows 10 and Windows 11.
- Microsoft Office 365 including Teams.
- Experience troubleshooting both on-site and remote customers. We support office locations as well as Teleworkers.
- Utilizing Service-Now for Tasks and Incidents. This is our ticketing and asset management system.
