Associate Engineer - CAE Automation

What you'll do:

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the overall development of CAE solutions for numerous digital design applications. She/He will be part of Digital design team enabling physics based modelling (Electromagnetics) and automation using APIs or languages such as Python/C#/VBA.

• Must have good proficiency in Electromagnetics/System modelling/Mechanics domain and hands-on experience using ANSYS
• Basic knowledge of custom scripts development enabling CAE automation with APIs or languages such as python/VBA/C#
• Basic knowledge about CAD softwares like Creo/Catia/Solidworks and some exposure to Spaceclaim/Design Modeller
• Participates in internal open innovation events with businesses & other research groups

• Gets trained on internal systems & processes and implements them towards projects
• Explore advances in digital design technologies pertaining to CAE/physics based modelling and Automation and evaluate their suitability for Eaton products.
• Works collaboratively with digital design team globally to advance the technology

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in any discipline (Mechanical preferred)
• 1+ years relevant industrial experience working with required CAE tools and their automation / integration APIs

Skills:

The engineer should be -

• Conversant with hands-on projects automating CAE tools
• Sound knowledge with proficiency in C#/VBA/Python/Javascript
• Ability to work in and with diverse & multi-cultural and geographically dispersed teams
• Ability to collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams (Development Teams, product management, project management)
• Ability to present to various levels of engineering and business leadership globally.
