POSITION: Associate Engineer - Fishing tools

LOCATION: 16211 Air Center Blvd, Houston, TX 77032

DUTIES: Utilize standard engineering calculations related to a specific design or analytical projects. Complete assignments received from supervisor using established design tools and procedures. Develop accurate and complete documentation of data and projects in a timely manner. Create and disseminate technical animations, illustrations, and presentations. Create complete detailed drawing packages utilizing accepted GD&T standards. Perform quality checks on other's drawings per NOV drafting standards. Familiar with API standards. Demonstrate sound engineering decision making. Complete engineering change orders when required following prescribed company procedures. Manage projects using the company's structured Engineering Management System. Complete new part design for sold items in NOV's CPR system. Attend field runs and visit service shops to provide basic technical support for products. Collaborate with all downhole groups to manage projects from concept through completion. Utilize SolidWorks, SolidWorks Simulation, Solidworks Composer, Solidworks PDM, AutoCAD, JDE, Team Center Engineering, Engineering Management System (EMS), CPR Database, and Microsoft Office products. Use in-house product specific calculation programs and NOV specific systems to complete projects.

REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent degree in Industrial Electronic Engineering or Mechanical Engineering and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or two (2) years of experience utilizing standard engineering calculations related to a specific design or analytical projects; creating and disseminating technical animations, illustrations, and presentations; creating complete detailed drawing packages utilizing accepted GD&T standards; utilizing SolidWorks, SolidWorks Simulation, Solidworks Composer, Solidworks PDM, AutoCAD, JDE, Team Center Engineering, Engineering Management System (EMS), CPR Database, and Microsoft Office products; and performing quality checks on other's drawings per NOV drafting standards.

In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, the employer will accept an additional two (2) years of experience utilizing standard engineering calculations related to a specific design or analytical projects; creating and disseminating technical animations, illustrations, and presentations; creating complete detailed drawing packages utilizing accepted GD&T standards; utilizing SolidWorks, SolidWorks Simulation, Solidworks Composer, Solidworks PDM, AutoCAD, JDE, Team Center Engineering, Engineering Management System (EMS), CPR Database, and Microsoft Office products; and performing quality checks on other's drawings per NOV drafting standards.
