MITRE's Department of Strategic Management Systems within the Enterprise Strategy and Transformation Center works in partnerships across government agencies to establish management practices needed to achieve mission success.

We will provide you with challenging opportunities to apply and expand your business strategy acumen, assess governance, develop, and implement performance metrics, apply analytic skills, and assist government agencies with strategic innovation and transformation.

As our Associate Enterprise Business Strategist, you will be part of a team developing / providing technical capabilities in the area of strategic management.

Specific responsibilities will include:

• Assist government leaders in defining the vision and determining the direction of change through a period of major government transformation.
• Analyze the current state and support the design of objective future business operations for federal departments and agencies to aid Government decision making
• Work with government leaders to translate their mission, vision, goals, and strategies into actionable programs within a coherent concept of operations.
• Use Data Visualization tools such as Tableau and BPNM to develop persuasive presentations.
• Support the development of agency-wide or government-wide strategic and transition planning activities.

Requirements / must have for consideration:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Information Systems Management, other technology-related disciplines or combination of related education and work experience
• Must be a US citizen capable of obtaining and maintaining a US government clearance.
• Documented success defining performance metrics, sourcing valid data, and using the information to evaluate progress and determine future investment of time and resources.
• Ability to conduct research and present findings and recommendations that effectively communicate key messages.
• Significant experience working in teams.
• Proven capacity to learn quickly.
• Proven history of taking feedback and adjusting course.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree/ MBA
• Preference given to qualified candidates with active clearance.
• Documented success in consulting support to Federal government clients
• Familiarity with BPMN / Lean Six Sigma / SYSML / Tableau
