Associate Event Producer

Summary of Position:
NVE seeks an Associate Producer to coordinate all aspects of events from conception to execution. The primary responsibilities are developing ideas and concepts for an event, developing executable plans, overseeing operations, managing project timelines, directing staff, and coordinating technical and production teams. The Associate Producer will also be responsible for building and managing project budgets to ensure financial profitability and bring value to our clients. The Associate Producer will work with a Senior Producer on large scale projects to support overall production and lead select elements of a project (generally in the $350K+ range). Additionally, the AP will be responsible for fully managing and executing smaller projects as the primary producer (typically projects up to $350K).
The ideal candidate is a blend of a creative and analytical thinker, capable of handling quantitative and technical duties while also using their eye for design to implement the visual aspects of an event. They possess the ability to juggle a variety of tasks across multiple projects and collaborate with various teams to successfully execute events. Candidate must be comfortable with operating as both support and leader depending on the assigned project. This is a management position and will supervise staff members across a variety of departments, overseeing overall event operations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Actively participate in creative ideation, collaborating with the Creative and Account teams to brainstorm and generate concepts.
- Exercise independent judgment to develop and manage project plan, production schedule and project budget that meet client’s requirements and will ultimately affect NVE business.
- Collaborate/communicate with all internal and 3rd party teams and provide direction to project staff both in-office during pre-production and onsite during project execution. Responsibilities include the ability to determine appropriate course of action in order to correct any problem that may arise during the production.
- Implement the original creative vision for the event by contracting venues, audio visual, catering, talent, technical staff and other vendors, including the responsibility of negotiating contracts and executing binding financial agreements on behalf of NVE as well as directing and managing support staff and 3rd party vendors onsite.
- Oversee all production and technical aspects of events including directing production staff, conducting site inspections, testing equipment, attending event rehearsals and managing show run-downs to resolve potential technical errors or event issues. Manage set-up of all audio-visual equipment and work closely with the technical director.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of proven event production experience required
- Strong project management skills
- Client focus with attention to detail, flexibility and accountability for results
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Extraordinary organizational skills, self-motivation and intuition
- Thrive in a fast paced, agency environment
- Excellent computer skills Microsoft and Apple applications, team project software, social media sites
- Thorough understanding of permitting standards (Including but not limited to TPA, Special Event, Fire, Health & Safety, Building & Safety, Noise, etc.) and ability to successfully manage production timelines and needs as related to permit procurement
- Ability to both lead teams and act as a support to Event Producer on larger Project Teams
- Ability to effectively manage tasks across multiple projects/various clients at the same time
