Associate Finance Manager, Global Sourcing Indirect and Payment Terms
OVERVIEW
The Associate Finance Manager (AFM) for Global Sourcing, Indirects and Payment Terms offers an opportunity to develop leadership, enterprise advocacy, cross functional partnership, governance and analytical capabilities. This role is uniquely positioned to govern policy, develop third party relationships with Supply Chain (SC) Finance providers and influence value to both the income statement and balance sheet.
Global Sourcing manages the procurement of raw materials and Indirect services across the enterprise. It is a highly dynamic supply chain function with influence and leadership across all Regions, Corporate and Global Supply Chain. The Global Sourcing finance team supports the operation and spend management of over $11B in annual spend.
This high visibility role on the Global Sourcing finance team will have responsibility for our Global Sourcing Indirect category business partnership as well as ownership of our enterprise Payment Terms policy and practices.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Partner with cross functional partners to lead a strong operational control environment through ownership of our Payment Term Policy. Provide governance expertise and process excellence along the way to ensure compliance to our Accounting & Control policies and audit readiness
- Partner to develop and deliver annual working capital improvement plan via Payment Terms
- Own third party vendor relationships for SC financing solutions
- Support supplier negotiations to ensure optimal pricing and payment terms
- Partner cross functionally to develop and execute long term supply chain financing strategies
- Advance finance's capability and support for Global Indirect categories (Transportation, Warehouse, Corp Services, SC services, D&T, Capital, media, etc) to deliver against annual objectives (Cost Savings, Operational KPI's)
- Draw insights leveraging data & analytics to enable strategic business decisions and translate insights to actionable solutions. All while maintaining candor and an external mindset.
- Provide clear, concise summaries of performance with functional and cross functional business partners
- Build strong relationships with cross-functional team, Region Finance teams, NA Sourcing Finance team and work across the matrix to deliver results via candid communication and productive discourse.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field
- 5+ years of related experience
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability
- Demonstrated ability to be proactive, respond quickly, and adjust to changes
- Process oriented, able to make process improvements, and effectively organize work
- Strong communication skills to influence stakeholders
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Working knowledge of GMI systems including AFO, SAP, CMT
- Project management experience
- Prior supply chain or P&A experience

Salary Range
The salary range for this position is $90100.00 - $135300.00 / Annually. At General Mills we strive for each employee's pay at any point in their career to reflect their experiences performance and skills for their current role. The salary range for this role represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, educations, skills, work experience, certifications, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
